2/11/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From Just Bob: Bulldog friends, it has been a long time coming for me to find my home… but I did it!
I now have a wonderful family who truly gets me. And let me tell you, not everyone did. I’ll be the first to admit I had a few setbacks on my journey. The bottom line? I wanted to be the boss… and the family already had one!
My family had boundaries, but at first, I didn’t think those rules should apply to me. (I may have heard the words “hard head” once or twice.) But the most important thing is this: my mom never gave up on me.
I even spent some time working with a trainer, and it was one of the best things that ever happened to me. I learned so much, especially that I wasn’t going to be the boss after all. Once I understood that, everything started to fall into place.
Now that I’m back home, I’m on my very best behavior, and things are going great. I finally have the home I always wanted, and my life is pretty amazing.
Happily ever after looks good on me.

8/23/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Just Bob to our rescue family! He writes: Yep, you heard that right… I’m Just Bob!
My story starts in a tough place: I was found tied to a power pole, abandoned with nothing but a bowl of water. Thankfully, a kind-hearted person found me and brought me to the local shelter. As soon as they saw me, they knew exactly who to call: Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue.
That’s when my heroes, Sheliah and Chad, jumped into the rescue wagon and came straight for me. The moment I saw them, I knew I was in good paws. They were warm, fun and full of love. My kind of people! After lots of hugs and kisses, we all decided to ride off into the sunset together.
Next stop: the vet. He gave me a thorough checkup and told me I’m a very, very handsome boy (his words, not mine—but I won’t argue!). Best of all, he said I’m healthy and didn’t have any serious issues. There was some hushed talk about “taking care” of my private parts… but I’m told that’s just part of the rescue deal.
I was named Just Bob by a sweet young volunteer at the shelter, and it stuck. I’m about 1 to 2 years old, full of energy, love and cuddles. Seriously, I can’t get enough affection. Once I’m all healed up from my surgery, I’ll be ready to find my next family.
