Kennedy

Kennedy

Today was the best day of my life. Today, I was adopted!

I met my new family last week and my new brother loved me. All week long, I have been counting down the days until I was adopted. And today was the day!

My life before rescue was pretty rough. I am not exactly sure why I am so afraid of everything. And sudden movements can be the worst for me. You will always find me hiding when I am scared.

I recently learned to walk on a leash and that was a milestone for me. I did enjoy getting carried a lot, but I’ve learned walking is the way to go.

My new brother is named Gambol and he loves to play. I am learning to play,, so this should be great for both of us. For sure, I am not perfect, but I am perfect for Jim, Judy and Gambol. I have so much to learn, but I am willing to learn.

My days in rescue are over. My life has just begun, and before long, you will see a entirely different Kennedy. I will be strong, confident and simply amazing!

When the rescue wagon rounded the corner, there was no way it was leaving without me.

There was so much excitement with four of my friends getting in, I was about to get left behind. I am afraid if it had not been for me running as fast as I could, I would have been left in the dust. Some of my friends are bigger and thicker than me, so it could have been easy for me to get looked over.

I will say I was scared when I got to my final destination. Like frozen in place scared. Like can’t move scared. Like never walked on a leash scared.

Tonight, I am going to have a bath and a blow dry, then I am going to try on a few harnesses to see which one looks the best. I’m told I am going to learn to walk on a leash. Exciting times ahead for me.

I heard my foster mom say she could hardly wait to fatten me up. That’s what I am talking about… I want an endless supply of food. Tomorrow is treat training also. Not sure what that’s all about, but I believe I will love it. My new name is Kennedy and I am 2 years old. Be sure to watch me make my journey through rescue!
