Kylar (now Suzy)

Kylar (now Suzy)

It was love at first sight! When Bill and Linda saw Kylar’s picture of her hitching a ride on the rescue wagon, they knew this sweet girl was meant for them. They patiently waited while Kylar got a clean bill of health from Dr. Larsen, and yesterday, she packed her bags and headed off to her forever home. She will now be called Suzy. Happy tails, sweet girl! We’re so glad you’ll be home for the holidays.

Bulldog friends my name is Kylar and this week I joined rescue. It was a long drive for me to get here. I came from the most southern tip of Texas and still be a Texan.

I saw the transport wagon leaving the valley lots of time heading north to a different way of life. Every time it pulled out, I thought that I sure wish someone would choose me to get on board. And this week was my week. I was so excited.

I ran as fast as I could run. As I ran everyone yelled “Look at that shrimp run!” “Run Shrimp Run!”  I had lived my life being called Shrimp, Tiny, Little Bitt, Pocket Pet, Micro Mini, Teeny Weeny, Bite Size and other various names because I am so small. I weighted myself this morning and I weighted 29 lbs. I don’t know why I am so small.

Bulldogs come in all sizes and shapes and my size is perfect for me. I have been a mother before because my body shows some signs of babies. Sometime people love smaller bulldogs that they can pick up easily. That’s me!

This week I have been practicing walking on a leash. I have mastered that now. But you should know small legs, take small steps and sometimes I have to run to keep up. But I can run or trot fast. I ran after the transport wagon and told them to save a seat for me.   was right behind the driver facing north and never looked back.

Soon I will see Dr. Larsen and she will giggle when she sees me. Dr. Larsen is going to say, “My, you look perfect to me.”
