Today was a very special Mother’s Day for retired momma Lucy Ricardo and her new momma, Diane, and her family.
These wonderful former adopters knew the moment they saw Lucy online that she was the one. They waited patiently throughout the spring until it was time.
The moment Lucy met this family, it was as if she had known them forever. Her big bootie wouldn’t stop wiggling. #BigGirlsRule and Lucy will reign as the solo queen in her new home with a skin sister and brother, and two thrilled parents.
This family likes big Bulldogs and is ready for all the licks Lucy is ready to give.
Happy, happy Mother’s Day, sweet Lucy. We’ll love you always!
This gorgeous lady turns 4 next month. She is a full-figured gal and a big sweetheart!
Lucy Ricardo will be visiting Dr. Larsen for her spay and a checkup, and then she’ll be ready to find her family! Stay tuned as we learn more about the lovely Lucy Ricardo.
2/29/24 Update: Lucy loves to ride! This big gal ran right to the car, jumped in and didn’t make a peep for a long drive around the lake. She is the perfect co-pilot!
3/19/24 Update: The lovely Lucy rides again! Yesterday’s adventure was a round-trip to DFW Airport to pick up one of her humans after a Spring Break trip. This gorgeous gal LOVES to ride! She is like a human herself – no whining, barking, anxiety. Just chilling, looking out the window, taking naps and dreaming.
5/1/24 Update: Things you should know about ME.
Like my namesake Lucy Ricardo, I am funny. I do things that will make you laugh out loud – like picking out a toy and racing to the register at Petsmart or looking for imaginary toys under the sofa.
I am a big girl. Fluffy. Big-Boned. Large and in Charge. If you have to ask me my weight, you can’t handle me. I am BEAUTIFUL and SOLID LOVE.
I get along with all humans and pets. I have a very annoying little fur brother who hates everyone and a super extra needy foster sister who gets all in my business, and none of it phases me. Nothing bothers me.
I love my crate. I like to retire there when I need a nap, and around 10 p.m., that’s where you’ll find me until morning.
I LOVE TOYS. Big, small, bones, balls – you name it, I love it. I can work on toys for hours so they better be durable!
I LIVE for car rides. If you start heading to the door with keys in hand, you better know that I am ready and willing to go anywhere with you. I sit in the car like a human and make NO noise. Just enjoy the scenery and sometimes nap.
I show affection by licking. I can’t help it if you taste good!
I won’t last long in rescue. I’m a family girl. I lived with kids, adults, dogs and puppies before rescue. My foster family adores me but knows I will make someone the best pet they’ve ever had.
