Hi Foster Mama Lisa

It’s me! I just wanted to send you a little update from my forever home. I am SO happy here with my five new humans — and guess what? I even have a dog sister! We’re getting to know each other and I think we’re going to be best friends.

I get soooo many pets and snuggles every single day. There are fluffy blankets everywhere (my favorite!), and I have a special spot right on the sofa. I even have my very own crate with a comfy foam pad and cozy blanket just for me. And guess what else? I have my own doggie bed in the family room so I can be close to everyone all the time.

The treats here are pretty amazing too. I’m a very loved girl.

My new family really loved the name Mabel, but they decided to call me Ellie. They say it means “light” — because I’ve brought so much joy into their home, I have a bright personality and a loving, warm presence. I kind of like that.

Thank you for taking such good care of me until I found my forever home. Because of you, I was ready for this big, happy life. I’ll always be grateful for the love you gave me first.

2/16/26 WELCOME BACK ~ The marvelous miss Mabel Wish is back in rescue!

First and foremost, Mabel Wish’s return has absolutely nothing to do with her. Sometimes timing simply isn’t right, and while that can be disappointing, it just means her perfect match is still out there.

Mabel Wish’s foster momma shares that she is one of the most affectionate Bulldogs they’ve cared since they started fostering six years ago. She truly loves love and is happiest when she’s close to her people. She’ll gently paw for pets, happily climb into a lap, roll over for belly rubs and proudly serve as a full-time Velcro sidekick. If someone is looking for a constant companion and built-in best friend, Mabel Wish is their girl.

She is fully potty trained, crate trained and has not had a single accident in her foster home. Like many Bulldogs, she enjoys chewing, so keeping personal items picked up and offering appropriate chew toys keeps her set up for success.

Mabel Wish’s biggest wish is simple: a family who will adore her as completely as she adores them. A loyal, love-filled companion, the marvelous Miss Mabel Wish is waiting.

2/8/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: The marvelous Miss Mabel Wish got her wish this weekend!

She’s officially on her way to living the life of a true princess with her new mommy, where she will be the main attraction. 👑💖

It was love at first sight for both of them. Her mommy actually started crying the moment they met. These are the moments that make everything we do worth it.

Let’s all wish Mabel Wish a lifetime filled with love, happiness and many wonderful happy trails!

12/6/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Mabel Wish to our rescue family! She writes: This Thursday was a big day for me: I officially joined rescue! I could hardly contain myself when I saw the rescue wagon rolling down the road. I’ve watched that wagon take some of my friends off to new lives, but this time my heart was giddy because I knew. It was finally my turn.

I’m 4 years old, cute as can be, and yes… I’ve had a few babies in my day. But those days are behind me now. Ahead of me? A vet visit, a comfy couch, a shiny new harness and leash, and, fingers crossed, a family who takes me out for a pup cup every single day.

I came into rescue along with my daughter, the one and only Izzy Winter. That’s right. The “stage-one clinger” herself. The moment she saw me stepping into the rescue wagon, she sprinted ahead and claimed the front seat. And there she stayed, absolutely refusing to move. She’s 2 years old, full of drama and also got her chance to leave the farm. More about her soon… trust me, she’ll tell you everything!
