Major Lee (now Duke)

Major Lee (now Duke)

When the Walker family saw Major Lee’s introduction bio they knew they had to meet him.  They recently had a dog cross the rainbow bridge and their home was feeling a little quiet. Upon meeting Major it was love at first sight.

Major, now named Duke, has his own throne of a bed. He has a a fur brother, and fluffy pet cat, two skin sisters and a skin brother to play with. He is living a very royal life.

No matter how much I prepared my family for this day, it was still one of the hardest days of their lives. Tears fell like rain. They couldn’t help it. They had loved me since I was little and going our separate ways was sad.

But I joined rescue prepared.

My mom wrote six pages about me for my new family. She left no stone uncovered… because she is the best. She detailed my likes and my dislikes. She shared what I do, how I do it and when I do it. She knew my new family would appreciate knowing everything there is to know about me.

I am only a year old, but you’ll be surprised how much I know. I already understand a lot of words ~ too many for me to list right now.

When I joined rescue yesterday, I brought with me four bags of dog food, an automatic water system, all my beauty products, a wire crate, a travel crate and a folder with my vet paperwork. I brought it all.

It’s obvious I’ve been loved my entire life, so I’m sure you’re wondering why I joined rescue.

Well, I am a family man. I want a family who has a lot of time for me. I want to travel, to go to soccer games, kids to play with and other dogs would be nice too.

As time passed, my family started going in different directions. There were new work responsibilities and the kids were involved in a lot of activities. Our time together was less and less and I was alone more and more.

My family will never forget the time we had together, but they want me to find a new family who has nothing but time to spend with me, Major Lee.
