Marigold

Marigold

Sweet Marigold has found her perfect forever family. The little bundle of energy will now have a fur brother and fur sister to play with all day long.
Her new name is Athena because, as her new family says, she is simply a goddess. She joins Thor and Theodora. All three slept together in the backseat on the way home. The fun and games continue without stop, but they all three play so well together. Her family said, “She is perfect! You are so right, she is FAST! Thank you so much for choosing our family!”
We wish our little goddess the best life possible on the road ahead with her new family.
My name is “Mon Petit Souci.” The lady of the house said that it means “My Little Marigold.” I really like that! It sounds really cute and as you can see… I AM REALLY CUTE! You can just call me Marigold. I am 8 months old and I weigh in at a whopping 19 pounds!
You may ask why a cute little nugget like me is in rescue. I had a family since I was a little tiny baby, but then I recently developed a little problem with my eyes. The first cherry eye popped out in October and the second one right before Christmas. The cost of having both of my eyes fixed was not feasible for my family to afford. They didn’t want me to suffer and they knew rescue could give me the best life. So, they made a difficult decision and contacted the nice people in rescue.
This lady here, who I was told is called Foster Ma, is going to let me stay here with her at the mini-ranch for the weekend until I go to see another nice lady that they call “Doc.”
Foster Ma says that Doc will sit on the fireplace hearth with me in her lap and give me a good look. She said that I will stay with Doc for a few days, so that she can fix my eyes, as well as fix my plumbing so that I will never have babies. That is just fine with me. I am just too little to be having little ones!
Foster Ma said I should not be scared because all the people at Doc’s will carry me everywhere. She said they will cuddle me, love on me and nuzzle my cute little tulip ears.
As I am still just a pup, I have not learned any commands, so I’ll need to work on those basic commands. I am a tiny little rocket ship that runs through the house at Top Gun speed. Because I am so little and fast, I can be hard to catch unless bribed with a tasty treat.
I am house trained and crate trained. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE chew bones and have acquired quite the collection that I have stashed in my crate. I hope the other dogs in the house won’t take them!
If you are looking for cute and petite, I may be your girl! I can’t wait to get my eyes fixed so I can start looking through the approved applications to find my best match.

2/2/21 Update:  Foster girl Marigold is still “full speed ahead.” Unfortunately, she ripped a few stitches from her spay AND somehow managed to pull a stitch from her cherry eye surgery. But that didn’t seem to bother her~ this girl rarely slows down! Now, she’s spending some time healing and she continues to gain weight. She’s up to 27 pounds.
2/24/21 Update:  Marigold is finally gaining weight now that her tummy has settled down. She’s up to 28 lbs! This sweet gal has the energy of three puppies packed into her compact bod. In fact, this pocket rocket would be a excellent candidate for an agility class! She definitely needs active buddies or older kids to play with in her furever home. She’s looking good after her bilateral cherry eye repairs, too.
