Minnie Midnight (now Moose)

Minnie Midnight (now Moose)

Do I have some great news for you! I decided that my foster dad is going to be my forever dad. What a great month this has been to arrive at this awesome day!

It all just fit from the moment we first met. It wasn’t awkward. No first meeting jitters or anything. It was if it was all just meant to be. Every day just kept getting better and that’s when it was simply decided. There wasn’t a big talk about it or anything. It was already obviously known.

It’s hard to put words to describe the emotions, but I am so happy I adopted this human. It’s gonna be a great life! I have a new name, Moose, plus two chill new brothers.

Hello Bulldog Fans. My names Minnie Midnight, and I’m a beautiful dark, dark chocolate. When the rescue wagon came driving up I decided it was now or never. I’m 5 years old. I’ve done my fair share of mothering. I’m ready to sit back and only think about myself. Lots of cuddling, naps, socializing and being the center of attention.

Make sure to follow along for updates. I’m excited for my foster family to get to know me.

1/24/23 Update:  Wow! What a way to be invited into my foster family. I arrived on Wednesday, then on Friday, we loaded up and went to the woods. Foster girl Maize had been here before, so she showed me all around. We had so much fun exploring. Getting wet in the pond, watching the deer, and having a marking contest. I bet you can figure out which picture that on e is. We went back and forth for a good 5 minutes. It was so much fun. Foster Mom also said I’m adjusting really well. I’m sweet and love attention. I do need to learn a few manners, but who doesn’t.

1/31/23 Update:  Minnie Midnight is doing great in her foster home. She settled in quickly and became best friends with all the other Bulldogs, while completely ignoring the cat (for which he is thankful).

She walks great on a leash and figured out the dog door really quickly. She’s had a few accidents in the house, but I don’t think it’ll take much longer until she’s fully potty trained. She has a few manners to work on – nothing too big though.

Her favorite thing to do is roll around in the grass. Foster Mom is ready for spring so Minnie quits wearing the dried grass.

2/14/23 Update:  I’m doing really well in my foster home. I love following my people around and napping wherever they are. This week, I get to visit the infamous Doc Larsen. She’ll be making sure my baby-making days are over. I’m going to ask for a little tummy tuck, too. She’ll also be doing some work on my eyes. I’m excited about that because my eyes tend to bother me.

2/21/23 Update:  Last week, Minnie Midnight had her visit with Doc Larsen. She’s now back home and recovering. Along with her spay, she had her hernia repaired and a small growth removed. She also had bilateral entropion surgery, which is why she has pretty orange lashes for the next two weeks. We also discovered she has some mild hip dysplasia. She’s such a sweet girl and is enjoying all the extra cuddle time on her road to health!

3/7/23 Update:  Minnie spent the last week resting up. She’s happy to report that her eyes are feeling so much better, and she’s no longer sporting the pink lashes (stitches) Unfortunately, her back leg is still bothering her. She’ll be trying to rest for a bit longer.

Minnie is a sweetheart and loves all the attention. She’s still working on a few manners. She’s potty trained, unless she finds a bed or carpet that needs her scent. She’s getting along great with all the fur in the foster home!
