Miso

Miso

8/30/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster pops: Miso, or as we refer to him “Miso Soup,” has been adopted!

From the moment he woke up, Miso had a pep in his step. He knew something was up. He knew yesterday was his day!

Miso’s wonderful new family made the long trip from the Houston area, and it was love at first sight! Miso was so excited to meet his new parents and fur-brother, Maverick. They immediately began to rough-house and play as if they’d been best friends for years.

We’re sad to see Miso go, but so happy to see him leave with a family of his own, and with a huge smile on his face. Happy trails, Miso Soup!

7/12/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Miso to our rescue family! At just 3 years old, Miso packed up his favorite toys, his food and a whole lot of courage, and set out on a new journey—joining rescue. 🐶

You see, Miso had been the baby of the family for a long time. But when a new (human) baby arrived, everything changed. New sounds, new smells, and a new routine made Miso feel anxious and unsure. He would tremble, retreat to his crate and often sit there quietly, even with the door wide open. That crate became his safe place—but it wasn’t the life a young Bulldog should be living.

His family saw how unsettled he’d become. They knew he wasn’t acting out—he was overwhelmed. And they made the selfless decision to give him the chance at a new life, one where he could truly feel safe, confident and loved again. There’s no blame—babies aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay.

Miso is starting his next chapter: baby-free and proud. He’s already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a home where he can thrive as the sweet, loyal companion he’s meant to be.

Stay tuned as we help this handsome guy find his happily ever after! 💙

7/28/25 UPDATE: From the foster momma: Miso is a sweet boy who got settled in his foster home this past week. He gets along pretty well with the other dogs, and he does a good job of pottying outside. He is a little timid around new things/noises, but overall he is a great dog!

8/10/25 UPDATE: We’re working to find the best family for Miso! His foster momma writes: Miso is the sweetest boy! At only 3 years old, he’s potty trained and gets along pretty well with our seven dogs. He has no health issues, just requires a wipe of his eye boogers daily. 🙂 Anyone would be lucky to have him!
