Miss Scarlett O’Hara (now Peanut)

Miss Scarlett O’Hara (now Peanut)

10/6/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT!

Well, I do declare… Miss Scarlett O’Hara’s story has come full circle.

Back in March, Miss Scarlett O’Hara arrived at Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue after being found as a stray. She had cropped ears, a little wiggly tail that never seemed to stop and a mysterious past she wasn’t discussing because, as we said then, a lady never tells.

But whatever Miss Scarlett O’Hara had been through, she clearly hadn’t let it harden her heart.

That tail? Wag, wag, wag.
That face? Already convinced you belonged to her.
That heart? Soft, sweet and ready to love.

We said Miss Scarlett O’Hara was done with hard times. She was ready for couches, compliments and a life where she would be properly adored.

And then along came Tina and Ty.

The plan was to foster Miss Scarlett O’Hara for two weeks, finish her vetting and send her off to her next home.

Well… Miss Scarlett O’Hara apparently had other plans.

According to Tina: “Then this little hussy showed up with her prison body and tongue hanging halfway to the next county. Blew that plan straight to hell. Yes, I kiss that dry tongue. No, I’m not taking questions.”

Ty and Tina are officially adopting Miss Scarlett O’Hara, who is now Peanut! ❤️

Miss Scarlett O’Hara has joined Reecie, aka Jolene, who Tina says is “busy stealing my man;” Koda, their bomb-sniffing Lab and “the only one with a respectable job;” and Lucy, their deaf senior Bulldog, who has “limited enthusiasm for her new roommate.”

But Miss Scarlett O’Hara knows exactly where she belongs.

She waits at the door for Tina, her wiggly little tail going a mile a minute, absolutely certain that Tina is her person.

And she’s right.

After losing her beloved Charlotte, Tina believes Charlotte sent this ridiculous little girl to her.

“Nobody replaces Charlotte, but Peanut has claimed her own piece of my heart.”

And then Tina summed up the whole situation perfectly: “Two-week foster, my rear.”

We think Charlotte knew exactly what she was doing.

“Charlotte, you sneaky little matchmaker. Well played.”

So the little Bulldog who once had no idea where she belonged now has a family, a couch, a whole pack and a person who willingly kisses her dry tongue.

Happy adoption, Peanut! We are so incredibly happy for you.

3/19/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Miss Scarlett O’Hara to our rescue family!

From volunteer Kayle: Well I do declare… Miss Scarlett O’Hara has officially left her “dog jail” era behind… and she will not be going back.

Once a stray with a past she’s not discussing (because a lady never tells), Scarlett showed up with cropped ears, a wiggly little tail that does not quit and the absolute audacity to still be sweet as pie.

And honey, she is.

That tail? Wag wag wag…like she’s fanning herself at a Southern soirée.

That face? Already convinced you belong to her.

That heart? Soft, loyal and ready to love like it’s her full-time job.

Scarlett’s done with hard times. She’s ready for couches, compliments and a life where she is properly adored.

Because tomorrow is another day…

…and she’d like to spend it at your house.
