4/4/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: Motley is officially a new San Antonio resident!
He met his new family yesterday, and it was love at first sigh. He could hardly contain his excitement and was more than ready to hop in the car for the long ride home (one of his favorite things!).
He packed up all his special goodies, including his “stinky” blanket filled with familiar scents, homemade treats, freeze-dried hearts and a few new toys.
True to form, Motley confidently marched right up to the car and tried to climb in all by himself! With a little help from his new dad, he got settled in and comfortable for the journey.
We couldn’t be happier knowing this sweet boy is starting the next chapter of his life with such a wonderful family. His future is bright and he is so very loved already!

Meet Motley, a 5-year-old charmer with the silkiest fur and one of the best faces you’ll ever see.
Motley doesn’t come with a sad backstory. He spent his life with the same loving family, received excellent medical care and was truly cherished as a family member. Sometimes, though, life changes in an instant and even the things we believe will last forever don’t. Motley was surrendered out of love, and now he’s searching for a new family who will cherish him just as deeply.
Motley is a thick, 70-ish-pound gentle giant. When he meets new people, he can’t help himself… he gets excited, does little spins and breaks out his happy dance. He loves other dogs, adores water and never misses a mealtime.
His ideal home would have older kids who won’t get knocked over by his enthusiasm, or no kids at all. Motley thinks he enjoys going on walks… until he realizes that riding in a stroller is far more his style. 😄 He’s not a fan of nail trims, but he does love going to the vet (go figure).
Motley just needs a little “snip snip,” and then he’ll officially be ready to find his next family, one that will appreciate the incredible love, loyalty and devotion he has to give.
