Bulldog friends, it’ me, Mr. Malone on adoption day! You read that right, I have been adopted and I am loving life in my new home with Iris and Trey.
It’s been a long time coming for me because when I first joined rescue I wanted to be the boss. It took me a little while to understand that the humans were the boss and they made the decisions, and I didn’t.
But life for me is great now. I love my new family and they love me. They worked so hard with me and never gave up. There were times we did not see eye-to-eye but with some patience and understanding we made it through the rough patches. My life in rescue has been great, but today I am moving on.
Hello, Bulldog enthusiasts! My name is Mr. Malone, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this rescue family.
A few weeks ago, I arrived at the vet clinic, but things didn’t quite go as planned with the camera. My Uber driver was supposed to snap some photos of me, but the camera decided to act up, and none of the shots turned out well. Plus, it was pretty hot outside, so I wasn’t too keen on sticking around while the camera had its tantrum!
But since then, life has been pretty busy. I’ve been neutered, had some medicated baths, and spent a lot of time learning the ropes—both inside and out. I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.
A bit about my past: I was part of a breeding program, but my former breeder decided it was time to retire and let us Bulldogs experience the joy of living indoors and lounging on sofas.
So, he called the rescue lady, saying, “You need to keep this boy for yourself; he’s perfect!” She just laughed and assured him she’d find me a perfect home. Seems like she’s a fan of the senior gals, and I’m a bit too young and healthy for her taste. I’m only 2 years old, after all.
I’ve been around lots of dogs and loved every single one, especially those who enjoyed playing with me.
Because I wasn’t raised in a home environment, I’m still working on my indoor manners. I’m eager to please and learn, but it takes time.
If you’re patient and ready to help me become the best Bulldog I can be, I might just be the perfect companion for you.
