Mr. Peabody

Mr. Peabody

6/14/2015 Update: Mr. Peabody was ADOPTED today!!!! Congrats to the happy family.
Mr. Peabody is a 3 yr. old male that weighs approximately 60 lbs. Mr. P as he is know among friends is good with other dogs and cats. He is best in a house with older or no children as he gets nervous around fast movements.
Update from Mr. Peabody’s foster momma: Mr. Peabody has had another great week! He has really enjoyed this cooler weather. If we are inside or out, Mr. Peabody does not leave my side. He will make the most perfect son for his future family. His personality is truly awesome! He has really found his place in his foster home and decided he is ruler of the house!
5/10/2015 Update: Mr. Peabody is doing great! While he has not enjoyed the storms this week – he did well being cooped up with foster mom in a small bathroom during tornado sirens on Sunday morning. He continues to enjoy the simple things in life – naps, toys, playing with foster dad, and treats! While we are still working on “sit”, he has “treat” down! He is a such a good boy and patiently waits for that perfect forever home (which we found out for sure this week can involve cats! Yay!)
5/19/2016 Update: Mr. P. has learned a few new words — when we say “it’s time to eat” he gets excited and heads to his food bowl. We say “go night night” and point to his room, he goes to the gameroom where his bed is to sleep. He continues to be a chill, relaxed bulldog who is quite content to sleep and lay around, and occasionally play with his toys. He’s a precious boy who is still looking for the perfect family.
5/24/2015 Update: Not a lot new for Mr. Peabody.  He continues to enjoy his long afternoon naps — and much like his human counterparts — can sleep anywhere. This week he napped in the kitchen, living room, office, and our bedroom/bathroom.
He now likes riding in the car because he sees us getting ready to go and he wants to go too! Sometimes he’s ready to go before we are, and he’s in the garage before his harness is on.

He is quite the little character.  He is usually right where we are, though he does enjoy his personal space. He does well with other dogs we have had him around and is curious when it comes to new adults. He is skiddish around kids so he needs to go to a home with no little ones running around. He may be young but he’s an older, chill dog at heart.
5/31/2015 Update: I don’t think anyone is more happy about the sun shining and no more rain than Mr. P.  He is not a fan of storms and was so glad to be able to go outside and soak up some rays this morning (and yes that’s a Christmas penguin he took outside with him. His favorite toys are a Christmas Penguin and a Halloween pumpkin!)

He went to see Dr. W for his shots this week and did so well (much better than I would have if someone was poking me!). He continues to enjoy the relaxing life and is just a sweetheart!
6/7/2015 Update: Mr. Peabody is loved far and wide! This week I was on a plane back to Dallas, and the flight attendant saw me watching a video of him on my phone and stopped to say how adorable he was. Even at 40,000 feet, he’s precious!

He has made a habit this week of laying down to nap in just the spot I don’t need him too… The fridge when I need to cook dinner, the trash can when we cleaning up after dinner, etc.
Other than that, it’s his usual daily activities of napping, lounging, occasionally eating/playing with toys. He wishes it wasn’t so hot outside because I sometimes see him staring outside the window, but it’s so warm I don’t let him stay out but a few minutes.
