6/21/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! Ms. Crisco has a message for everyone: “How do you like me now?”
She shares: Not long ago, no one thought I had a shot at finding a family—but look at me now! Here’s the proof: that’s me with my new mom, Wendy. From the moment we met, it was love at first sight. She told me I was beautiful, and that my extra fluff just meant more to love.
Wendy didn’t come empty-handed, either—she brought me a brand-new collar with a bow on it, and a matching leash. Talk about arriving in style!
I went from being given away for free on social media to living my absolute best life. I have a family, a beautiful home in East Texas, and everything I could ever want. I’m spoiled, adored, and proud to say I may just be the most loved—and most fabulous—Bulldog in rescue history.
The rest, as they say, is history.

6/6/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Ms. Crisco to our rescue family! “Old age” may mark the later stages of life—but for Ms. Crisco, it simply means she’s a classic.
Please welcome this lovely senior lady to rescue. Ms. Crisco is pure perfection wrapped in silky fur and timeless charm. Her teeth show the signs of a life well lived—not neglect—and her gentle eyes tell a story that deserves to be heard.
Ms. Crisco’s journey began when her original dad, at 80 years old, walked her into a shelter with a heavy heart. He could no longer care for her. But fate intervened—another gentleman happened to be at the shelter that very day looking for a senior dog. A few words were exchanged, and just like that, Ms. Crisco had a new home.
Things were good—until tragedy struck again. Her new dad was in a serious car accident and could no longer care for her. He left her with a friend, along with a plea: “Please find her a family, or find her a rescue.”
This week, Ms. Crisco’s face showed up on social media labeled as a “Free Bulldog.” That’s never a safe place for a Bulldog to be. But once again, luck found her—a kind woman and Bulldog owner saw the post and immediately stepped in. She got Ms. Crisco safely into our rescue, where she belongs.
Ms. Crisco joined us Thursday with pep in her step. Don’t let her age fool you—this gal can shuffle with speed when she spots a Jeep door and hears the words “car ride.” She adores cruising around, made fast friends with the other Bulldogs, and was first in line for breakfast and then back in bed for a nap.
Whatever the future holds for Ms. Crisco, one thing is certain: she deserves to be treated like a fine wine—maturing gracefully and only getting better with time.
Welcome, sweet girl. Your golden years just turned platinum.
