Nellie Nadine (now Remi)

I found the perfect home that foster mom always dreamed of for me. There are two wonderful children who I already adore, along with a mom and dad, and even a furry brother named Otter to show me around. We took a car ride together, and Otter introduced me to the neighborhood and the house, and I just know this is going to be the perfect place. I’m so lucky to have found a family who will spoil me. Santa really came through with the best gift ever!

Bulldog friends, today I joined rescue. My name is Nellie Nadine, and I am 2 years old.

I was picked up by animal control and no one came to claim me.  As I sat there counting the days until I was able to leave, all I could think about was I sure hoped there were better days ahead for me. When I was picked up, I was covered in fleas and ticks, and I heard everyone whisper that I sure did smell bad. I really never noticed that. To me it had just been a part of me living outside wandering around.

I am going to talk to Dr. Larsen today and let her know that she needs to hurry and spay me so I can find myself a family.  My perfect family will love me forever, let me be a part of everything they do, and never loose me.

My name is Nellie Nadine and I am as cute and sweet as can be.

10/25/24 Update:  I checked into my foster home, and my Foster Mom said I was a passenger princess. It was a good thing she could drive with one hand because I wanted all the pets and love the whole way home. Who knew riding in a car could be so exhausting? I’m just glad to have all this space to sprawl out in and catch some zzzzs. Foster Mom keeps telling me how beautiful I am and that I will have a family and home to call my own soon enough!

11/8/24 Update:  Nellie Nadine had so much fun at yesterday’s Pizza Paw-ty, she was still exhausted this morning!

This is a big week for this girl. She finished her 30 days on doxycycline and gets her heartworm shots this week. While she may not be thrilled about the 30 days of upcoming bed rest, she is ready to feel better, and she knows that once she is through this, her new family is on the horizon!

11/27/24 Update:  Nellie Nadine is about halfway through her heartworm treatment and 30 days of crate rest. She is enjoying the extra pampering and bed rest while she recovers. She loves to be right beside the humans and other pups whenever she can!
