10/6/25 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Nina Lovebug to our rescue family! She writes: Talk about a big day full of change. Today, I hopped into the truck with my Uber driver (OK, really it was David), and I said goodbye to the only home I’ve ever known. And oh, what a hard goodbye it was…
My mom and dad stood on the front porch with tears in their eyes (big crocodile tears) as I drove away. They never imagined this day would come. They rescued me from a tough situation and promised I’d be with them forever. And for a long time, I was.
We had an amazing life together. I was the queen of the castle.. loved by everyone, playing nonstop with my doggy siblings, having tea parties with the kids and strutting my stuff in tutus. Life was sweet.
But then, everything changed. The kids in the family got very sick and needed constant care. Doctors’ visits and hospital stays became the norm, and there just wasn’t enough time or attention left for me and my furry siblings.
Then came the family meeting. The one where they cried and asked, “What’s fair for the dogs?” That’s when they made the heartbreaking decision to give us a chance at a new life… one with time, love and adventures.
They knew exactly who to call: Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. They follow the group on social media and believed wholeheartedly that I would be placed with a family handpicked just for me.
So here I am, 5 years young, ready to find my next home… a place where I can be loved, spoiled and adored all over again. 💕 My former family loved me enough to let me go and I’ll carry that love with me wherever I go.
(P.S. My fur siblings, an American Bulldog and a shepherd, are also hoping to find great rescues to help them start fresh, too.)
