Nova Nicole

8/29/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From Nova Nicole: Well, Foster Mom just returned from a visit to Alaska! I wanted to go along so I could escape this Texas heat, but I decided it was much easier to stay home in the cool house and skip all that airport and delayed-flight nonsense!

While Foster Mom was away, I had an important job to do. I helped Foster Dad and Foster Sister corral the other house dogs whenever it was time to let everyone outside. I’m such a good helper!

When Foster Mom returned, she told me that some very special people had been asking about me… and guess what?! They said I was #1 on their list!

Well, I have some BIG news…

I’VE BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉

That’s right! I’ve moved to Oklahoma, and I am officially beginning my next chapter with my new family!

Foster Mom made sure I was all packed up for my big adventure. She washed and packed all my stuffies, bones and my favorite soft blanket. She even tucked in extra treats and plenty of my food. I was ready to go!

When I met my new dad, I just walked right up to him like I knew he was my person. The pets and belly rubs started immediately! 🥰 My new mom was waiting for me at home, and together we got all my toys and my favorite blanket set up on my very own bed.

And guess what? It’s going to be just the three of us!

I am SO happy and excited for all the love, adventures, naps, treats and belly rubs that are waiting for me.

I want to send the biggest THANK YOU and HUGS to Miss Renee and Miss Shirley for saving me and bringing me into rescue so I could have the chance to find my family.

And thank you to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue and my wonderful foster family for keeping me safe, loved, spoiled and FED until I was ready for this next chapter. I’ll always be grateful for everyone who helped me along the way.

Now it’s time for me to settle into my new home, enjoy my family and live my very best life!

Hugs to all,
🩷 Super Nova

4/25/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Nova Nicole to our rescue family! She writes: Life is about knowing when to stay and when it’s time to go. For me, it was time.

My name is Nova Nicole, and I’m 3 ½ years old. My family loved me, but life got busy. Everyone was on different schedules, and most days I found myself alone in the backyard, keeping company with birds and squirrels. It wasn’t terrible… but it wasn’t the life I needed, especially with the summer heat on the way.

So when I heard rescue was coming, I didn’t fully understand what it meant, but I knew it meant change. And I hoped it meant being part of a family again.

I’ve had a bit of a past, including an unplanned litter of puppies, but those days are behind me now. I’m ready for a fresh start and a future that’s all about being loved and cared for.

Some people look at me and are quick to call me “fat,” but I prefer to think of myself as beautifully round because round is a shape too. With the right care, I’ll be feeling my best in no time.

I do need to get my vaccinations updated (my last vet visit was in 2022), and I’ve developed a cherry eye that will need attention. But those are just small steps on my way to a much brighter future.

Before long, you’ll see me heading into a foster home, and from there, I’ll join a family I’ve been waiting for… one that has the time, love and commitment I deserve.

If you’re in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we need you. Dogs like Nova Nicole can’t begin their next chapter without a foster home. Opening your home, even temporarily, does more than save a life. It gives a dog safety, comfort and a second chance, while also bringing purpose, joy and connection into your own life. Fostering truly changes two lives at once. If you’ve been thinking about it, this is your sign to step in and make a difference. Message us to get involved!

5/12/26 UPDATE ~ From foster girl Nova Nicole: Just checking in to let everyone know what I’ve been up to since joining rescue a little over two weeks ago. And let me tell you… I have been BUSY.

First came my big vet appointment where I got poked several times, got my shots updated, had bloodwork done AND the doctor had the audacity to suggest I lose a few pounds. Rude. 😂

Then I attended my very first Bulldog event! I got belly rubs, met lots of new dogs and people and even sampled some pizza. Honestly? It was a fantastic day, and I’m pretty sure everyone there fell in love with me.

Then came surgery last Thursday for my cherry eye. I’m recovering really well, but we need to talk about this cone situation. Whoever invented these things clearly never tried walking through a doorway while wearing one. I’ve bumped into walls, furniture and possibly my own dignity a few times. It’s been humbling.

Overall though, my foster mom says I’m doing wonderfully. I’m sweet, social and settling into foster life like a pro. I love other dogs, enjoy people and kiddos and remain fully committed to my hobbies: belly rubs, snacks and being adorable.

For now, I’m focusing on healing, relaxing and continuing to enjoy all the love and care rescue has given me. 💕

Love,
Nova Nicole

5/26/26 UPDATE ~ Foster girl Nova Nicole is looking forward to learning all the pickleball tips and tricks at this weekend’s Bulldog Pickleball Inaugural Showdown in Frisco. We hope you can swing by to check out all the action too!

7/8/26 UPDATE ~ From foster girl Nova Nicole: Well, Super Nova fans, I attended another Bulldog Pickleball event, and I had an absolute blast!

I got to meet some of my fellow foster Bulldogs and even a few Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumni. I made lots of new friends, soaked up plenty of belly rubs, and happily handed out kisses to everyone who stopped by. My foster mom says I’m quite the social butterfly!

I continue to prove that I love just about everyone I meet… people, other dogs, you name it! Kids are some of my favorite people, too. Because I’m a happy, enthusiastic girl who sometimes forgets how strong I am, I’d probably do best with older or bigger kiddos who can handle my excited greetings.

Life is pretty great, and I’m loving every opportunity to get out, meet new friends and show everyone what a fun, affectionate Bulldog I am!
