8/18/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: A long time ago, in a shelter far, far away… in Tarrant County, a very special Bulldog was waiting for his next adventure.
Enter Obi Wan Bulldoggi.
When Obi arrived on Planet Chaos, he came prepared for his journey. His backpack was packed with all his favorite things: his pizza plushie, blanket, towel, measuring cup and, of course, his trusty nose butter. He was ready to roll!
His stay with us was brief, but Obi made himself right at home. He handled the crazy beings here like a champ, quickly assimilated into the pack and learned the daily routine in no time.
But when night fell, Obi had more important business to attend to. He was busy sending signals back to his starship, beaming messages out into the universe in search of his very own special family.
And then… they came. 
The moment Obi laid eyes on them, he knew. They were there for him. He ran over with wags, wiggles and the unmistakable excitement of a Bulldog who had just found his people.
It was love at first sight.
His new family was absolutely perfect for him, which is only fitting, because Obi is the perfect Bulldog. They both hit the jackpot, and this was truly a match made among the stars.
So, Obi Wan Bulldoggi, your mission is complete. Your family has been found.
Congratulations, Obi! May the Force be with you always. Go live your best happily-ever-after, sweet boy!

7/27/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Obi Wan Bulldoggi to our rescue family!
From volunteer Nicole: Today we welcomed Obi Wan Bulldoggi into rescue, and we can already tell this handsome boy is going to steal some hearts.
The moment his kennel door opened at the shelter, Obi Wan Bulldoggi trotted right out without looking back. He’s understandably a little unsure of all the changes in his life, but it doesn’t take long for his sweet personality to shine through. Give him just a little kindness, and he’s ready to trust you.
At the shelter, he had been surrendered along a backpack filled with his belongings: his food, wipes, paw butter, nose butter… and one very important treasure: a stuffed pizza.
As soon as we handed it back to him, he snuggled right up with it. In fact, he’s been using his pizza as a pillow, and it may be one of the cutest things we’ve ever seen.
Obi Wan Bulldoggi is wonderfully well-mannered. He walked right into his crate without hesitation and has been as quiet as a mouse ever since. We haven’t heard so much as a peep from him. He also has plenty of pep in his step and really seems to enjoy going for walks on a leash.
He’s only spending one night with us before heading to his foster home with Tina tomorrow morning, but it didn’t take long to realize what a special boy he is. Obi Wan Bulldoggi is a total love bug. He’s a little chunky (no judgment here ~ we’ve all been there!
), and it’s obvious that he was well-fed and cared for. Right now, though, he’s simply trying to make sense of a world that suddenly looks very different.
One thing is certain: whoever is lucky enough to adopt Obi Wan Bulldoggi is going to hit the jackpot. He’s gentle, handsome and has the kind of quiet, loving soul that leaves a lasting impression. We can’t wait to watch him settle into foster care and show everyone just how amazing he is.
Obi Wan Bulldoggi’s story is also a reminder of how rescue works. Bulldogs can only leave the shelter when there’s somewhere safe for them to go. That’s why Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue is always in need of foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Our fosters work closely with our partner veterinarians and help bring dogs to adoption events, making DFW the heart of our rescue efforts.
