11/2/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From Opie Nutters’ foster momma: Well, I couldn’t avoid it forever, but I sure gave it my best shot! 😉 You can’t blame a girl for falling in love with a big, lovable Bulldog named Opie Nutters!
But adoption finally came knocking — and we answered, because this family was absolutely perfect for our boy. Opie Nutters is now living his best life in Lubbock with his family! He’s already settled in, claimed his spot on the couch, made a trip to PetSmart, visited the dog park and even barked at a few cats with his new fur brother, Simon.
He also has a sweet fur sister named Oreo and a bonus human brother to round out his new crew! We met Ray, Stacy and their son Paden yesterday in Seymour, Texas, at the most adorable dog park (built by local high school kids!). Everyone hit it off right away and we watched our sweet Opie Nutters head off to his new adventure with smiles and happy tears.
Ray had been waiting a long time to bring another Bulldog into his life, and we’re honored and thrilled that he chose Opie Nutters. We know these two will share many happy years doing “guy things” together!
Happy trails, Opie Nutters! You’ve hit the adoption jackpot and will be loved and treasured beyond measure for all your days. 💙

INTRODUCTION: At 4 years old, Opie has joined rescue — but don’t worry, his story isn’t a sad one. He’s been loved since he was a puppy and came from a caring family.
Unfortunately, changes in their circumstances meant Opie was spending long hours in a crate each day. Knowing he deserved more, his family made the difficult but selfless decision to give him a chance at a better life.
Opie is a handsome 70-pound bulldog with a big heart. He was raised with both kids and other dogs, and he gets along wonderfully with both. He’ll need a little veterinary attention for his eyes, and once that’s taken care of, he’ll be ready to find a new family—one with plenty of time, love, and belly rubs to give.
Opie loves going for walks and gets especially excited when he meets new people along the way. He’s crate-trained, potty-trained, and even stands by the door when he needs to go out.
Opie’s ready for his next adventure—ideally with a family who’s ready to make him the center of their world.
7/6/25 UPDATE: From the foster momma: Opie Nutters had to have a cherry eye repair this week and he was the best patient ever. He is happy to be back in his foster home and annoying everyone with his cone head!
7/22/25 UPDATE: From Opie Nutters’ temporary foster momma: Opie Nutters is enjoying his stay at the Bully BnB. He’s been lounging by the pool, getting cuddles, chewing on bully sticks and hanging out with the other dogs in the BnB. He is super sweet and gentle.
9/4/25 UPDATE: From the foster momma: Sweet Opie Nutters is doing great in foster care and continues to win the coveted title of “Best Boy in the House” week after week!
He’s the total package: affectionate, silly and full of love. Opie Nutters is fully potty trained and has a serious passion for food, treats, toys and chewy bones. But more than anything, he just wants to be wherever you are. He’s the ultimate cuddle companion!
His goofy personality keeps us laughing. Like when he dramatically plays “dead” if dinner’s running late. 😂 He’ll go full statue mode and won’t budge until the food is served. What a character!
Lately, he’s discovered the joy of getting on the furniture and couldn’t be happier about it. He loves curling up right on top of you. Lap dog status: unlocked. 🛋️❤️
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving and hilarious sidekick who will stick to you like glue, Opie Nutters might just be your perfect match. He’s an absolute joy!
