It was love at first sight for P.C.’s new mom and dad. These former adopters were waiting for the perfect match to show up and it did. P.C. can now roll his ball around in a big backyard. Plus, he found the prefect playmate in his new sister, Blue.
Bulldog friends, my name is Pork Chop, but you can call me P. C.. Today I joined rescue.
But there are no sad stories for me! My family loved me a lot. I mean a lot. But sometimes life happens, and things happen that you can’t control and what you thought was going to be forever, took a different turn. So here I sit. All I know was I had the choice of sitting in a crate all the time, or finding a family who had more time for me. I chose the life that meant I could be out and about. I am a social fella. I love other dogs and my family had small kids.
The kids and I were best friends. But small means small, and when I get going it is like a bowling ball in slow motion. I would never in a hundred years mean to hurt anyone. But let’s face it, I am quite the chunk. My mom has some health challenges also and she could not play ball with me anymore. So, today I packed up my big blue ball and my bed and headed out the door.
Just wait till Dr. Larsen gets a look at me. Dr. Larsen likes em “big and round,” and she says round is a shape, so I know we will be best friends.
I need a little procedure to help me with that loving feeling. But after that, watch out everyone because you are fixing to see me coming full force looking for my forever family!
I am 2 years old, sweet as sweet tea and quite the looker, if I say so myself.
3/28/23 Update: He’s getting along great with everyone – even the cat. He had to learn a few lessons because humping is a favorite pastime. He’ll be seeing Doc soon to help him lose that loving feeling.
He’s potty trained and doing well in the house – barely in his crate at this point. He likes to play and is strong. His furever family will need to continue working with him. He isn’t a fan of the leash, and will push himself to get what he wants. He could be a lot for small children. But talk about cute! He’s a sweet, loving, strong guy.
4/7/23 Update: It’s been a great week. I’ve adjusted easily into my foster home. We had a birthday party and I got ice cream! It was so yummy. Foster Mom says I’m a good boy and I’m potty trained. Except when I need to mark something. I just had my neuter, so that should help with that. I love to be around my people… playing, cuddling, hanging out. I’m just a super cute guy.
4/11/23 Update: Yesterday was spring planting day at my foster home. While my foster mom wasn’t looking, I decided to help out by rolling in the dirt. Check out my new stripes. I’m loving my new look. Foster Mom says I need a bath.
