Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton and Tuco came into their foster home together, and now they are forever fur brothers! Their wonderful new family welcomed these two goofballs into their home and couldn’t be happier. Happy trails, Pete and Tuco!

Just like the classic rock fella with the same name, “I want you to show me the way… I want you day after day.”

I don’t even know where to start.

I was advertised “For Sale” in another state and my mom was soooo excited to buy me. She had always wanted a Bulldog.

In her eyes, I was perfect. I was the “whole enchilada.” I am young (2 years old), funny, have lots of personality and all I want to do is play! Sitting still for some pictures was even a challenge because I love to be moving.

But what my new mom didn’t know was that I’m heartworm positive. She found that out when she took me to the vet. Can you believe that? Someone sold me to a super sweet young lady that had no idea I had a serious medical problem.

And I guess when it rains it pours. My mom’s family member became very sick and he needed care also. It was a no-brainer for me. I knew I needed heartworm treatment, and I knew rescue would help me.

So, here I am in rescue. On Tuesday, I’ll sit with Dr. Larsen and we’ll get to know one another. Dr. Larsen will be so upset that I have heartworms, but she also knows, with treatment and then activity restriction, l’ll be fine.

I am not looking forward to that treatment pain, but I am looking forward to a new family who loves to play.

I love classic rock. I sing it all the time and the other Peter Frampton is my favorite! I’m a super cute fella who loves everyone and everything.

9/13/22 Update:  Peter Frampton enjoyed some nekkid time without his cone this evening. He is getting settled into his foster home after having his neuter and entropion surgeries.

He’s such a sweet baby who craves attention and just wants a lap to sit on.

Sadly, he has heartworms and gets out of breath quickly. We’re keeping him calm and relaxed. He will have heartworm treatment soon. Good vibes appreciated for this precious boy!

9/23/22 Update: Peter Frampton is doing great in his foster home. He’s got that puppy energy, but he’s learning to potty outside and not chew on everything. He enjoyed some nekkid time this weekend without his cone. He is looking forward to getting his sutures out on Thursday from the entropion procedure and neutering.

9/26/22 Update:  We took Peter Frampton’s sutures out this week from his entropion and neuter surgeries. Now, he’s feeling like a new man. His eyes are looking great and he patiently awaits his heartworm treatment in a few weeks. He’s a sweet boy who loves everyone and everything. He loves to play and snuggle, and he’s eager to put his heartworm treatment behind him.

10/10/22 Update:  Peter Frampton will be undergoing heartworm treatment this week. Please send him lots of love, prayers and good thoughts.

10/17/22 Update:  Peter Frampton is on crate rest until Nov. 11 following his heartworm treatment. He gets calm, relaxing snuggle-time on the couch in the evenings. Being held has always been his favorite activity.

10/26/22 Update:  Peter Frampton, or “Sweet Pete” as we like to call him, is sad. Sad that his former family didn’t put him on heartworm prevention, so he has to stay on crate rest for 30 days following heartworm treatment. He’s exhausted and doesn’t feel good. He just wants to be held, so that’s what we do. His crate rest ends on November 11.

11/1/22 Update:  Because Peter Frampton’s still on crate rest due to heartworm treatment, he is always excited about his evening “holdy time.”

11/7/22 Update:  Peter Frampton is counting down the days until he is off of crate rest from heartworm treatment. It just so happens that the ending of his crate rest lines up perfectly with the rescue event at The Shacks at Austin Ranch this weekend, so he’ll be able to attend! Yay!

11/21/22 Update:  Peter Frampton’s sweet soul will make your heart melt! He not only looks cute, he’s such a good, loving boy, too. He likes to play with other dogs and will run to you if you’re sitting on the couch. He’s crate trained, house trained, and knows how to use the doggie door. He’s the whole package!
