5/10/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From volunteer Rey: PIxie Stick officially hit the jackpot!
What started as a heartbreaking shelter story has turned into the fairytale ending our sweet little meatball deserved. 💕
Back in January 2025, Pixie Stick was sitting quietly in a local shelter after being forgotten by the people she loved most. This sweet little Bulldog mama waited patiently for a family that never came… but thankfully, her story didn’t end there.
Fast forward to her unforgettable stay at Casa De Meza, where she spent 16 glorious days perfecting her craft as:
✔️ Full-time cuddle supervisor
✔️ Snack quality control inspector
✔️ Snoring enthusiast
✔️ Emotional support potato
And now… the BEST update of all:
PIXIE STICK HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🎉
Her new mom and dad completely fell in love with her charm, her snorts, and her Olympic-level snuggling abilities. Even better? She now has a resident cat sibling… and to everyone’s surprise, Pixie Stick has absolutely no issues with the cat whatsoever.
In fact, she’s mostly just thrilled to have more creatures available to admire her.
Reports from her new home say she has quickly adjusted to being the center of attention, which honestly feels less like “adjusting” and more like “accepting her destiny.” 👑
From abandoned shelter dog to beloved family princess, Pixie Stick’s story is exactly why rescue matters.
To everyone who shared her posts, cheered her on, fostered her, loved her and believed her perfect family was out there… thank you. Because of you, this sweet girl will never wonder if she’s loved again.
Congratulations, Pixie Stick. Go enjoy your happily ever after, you beautiful little snoring loaf.

11/17/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Pixie Stick to our rescue family! Pixie Stick found herself at a local shelter, waiting patiently for a family that, sadly, never came. This adorable little girl appears to have been a mom at some point, and she couldn’t be sweeter if she tried. The shelter estimated her to be around 3 years old.
She’ll be heading to the vet soon for a full checkup and her spay, and once she’s all cleared, she’ll be ready to start the search for her next family.
Sweet Pixie Stick deserves a family who will love her the way she’s ready to love them completely. 💕
And as stories like hers remind us, we urgently need more foster families in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Local shelters often have Bulldogs who just need a safe place to land, and every new foster home means one more life saved. If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is a wonderful time to jump in. We’d love to welcome you to the team. Message us today.
4/22/26 UPDATE ~ For the next 16 days, Casa De Meza has been blessed (and mildly snored at) by the one and only Pixie Stick while her foster momma is on vacation.
At about 3-years-old, Pixie Stick has a face that says “I love you” and a personality that proves it.
Let’s get the important stuff out of the way:
⭐Potty trained (a true queen)
⭐Gets along great with other animals
⭐Professional-level cuddle buddy
⭐Expert in melting hearts within 3–5 business seconds
Pixie Stick’s hobbies include:
• Snuggling like it’s her full-time job
• Giving you “the look” until you share your snacks
• Being the sweetest little shadow you didn’t know you needed
She’s only visiting Casa De Meza for a couple weeks, so let’s not waste a second. If you’ve been thinking about adding a low-riding, love-giving, snore-producing best friend to your life, she may be your perfect match. She’s ready to book her one-way ticket to her next family!
