Priscilla Presley

Priscilla Presley

The Texas Rangers win this week inspired Priscilla Presley. After two strike outs (because she didn’t want to share the fur spotlight), she hit a home run today.

It was love at first sight when Priscilla met her new family. She didn’t hold back on the love and smooches, which won everyone over within minutes There was even rumors of tea parties with her new skin sister, which she is super excited about.

After some goodbye kisses for foster mom and dad, Priscilla didn’t hesitate for a second once that car door opened. She will be the new Queen of San Antonio with her amazing new family.

My family lost me last week, on one of the hottest days.

That’s right ~ I looked around and nothing looked familiar. And these feet are not made for walking on the hot Texas concrete in June.

I thought I was going to die from heat stroke. Had it not been for the kindness of strangers who offered me some water and the comfort of their home, I would have been a goner for sure.

After I was cooled off and calmed down, they called animal control, so I got picked up and taken to the shelter.

Man, I loved it there with two meals a day and air conditioning! I hung out in the office and the staff let me wear a hat that read, “In charge!” They also told me big things come in small packages and that I was the cutest Bulldog they had ever seen.

They examined my ears and wondered why someone chopped them off. I’ve  wondered about that myself because I was born about two years ago with ears and they looked really cute.

Every time the shelter door opened, I peeked around the corner, hoping to see someone who was looking for me. But no one came.

After several days of being “in charge,” I left in the rescue wagon.

Yesterday, I sat in Dr. Larsen’s lap and she said, “Oh dear, Priscilla. You are the cutest thing I have seen in a long time. I can’t believe your family never came looking for you!”

7-11-23 Update:  I have been here for a day now and the foster parents have already learned so much about me:

1. Everyone is my best friend.

2. I am always excited to see you. Even if you just left for 3 seconds.

3. I have so much energy, but I am a very well-behaved girl.

4. Food and snacks are my favorite things ever!

5. I am super affectionate.

The foster parents say even though I am very nice, we have to take introductions to the fur residents here a little slow because apparently they are old and like to lay around a lot.

Anyway, I have a little surgery coming up in a few weeks but after that, I will be ready to start looking for my furever family. Trust me, you can’t wait to meet me!

8/3/23 Update:  Looks like foster girl Priscilla Presley found her throne. We won’t argue with her. In fact, we’ll be standing by just to fan her….

8/18/23 Update:  Priscilla Presley is a “five Benebones are better than one” kind of girl.

This little girl is really amazing. She has the funniest personality, enjoys her playtime and is super affectionate.

Priscilla gets along great with the resident pups in her foster home, but she does need slow introductions to new pups.

9/5/23 Update:  Priscilla Presley had hernia surgery this week and is recovering comfortably at her foster home. She is NOT impressed about the restricted activity part though because that means no wrestle mania with Foster Dad.

9/12/23 Update:   Priscilla Presley will have her stitches removed tomorrow and is more than ready to find that perfect family.

Priscilla can be a little nervous when she meets new fur friends, so she is hoping there is a family out there who understands her and is willing to take introductions slow.

She loves all her foster siblings at her foster home and she is absolutely obsessed with her foster dad.

9/21/23 Update:  I have decided to take things into my own paws and find myself a family. Foster Mum just doesn’t appreciate me.

While I was outside going potty (like I was supposed to be doing), I found her the perfect gift. She was inside making my breakfast, so I brought her present inside and sat it next to her on the floor.

I expected screams of excitement, but instead, I got screams of horror.

If someone gave me a live frog, I would be so happy. Foster Mum was NOT happy. I didn’t hurt the frog!

And to make things worse, instead of keeping my gift, Foster Mum picked up the frog and put it back outside. That’s just plain rude in my book!

So anyway, I’m ready to find my family now. I’m sure they will appreciate the great gifts I give!

10/31/23 Update:  Priscilla Presley spent this chilly day in her jammies. Keep your fingers crossed for this sweet girl. She has a meet and greet next weekend!
