AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT for Puddin!
Special thanks to our volunteers Lynn and Dan for helping us save Puddin from a local shelter on this bitterly cold day.
The shelter staff estimate this super sweet girl to be 6-8 years old. At first glance, the staff thought she had a prolapsed uterus, but then they learned it’s actually a mass.
They also discovered a string stuck in that same area ~ they suspect it’s catgut, a type of surgical suture ~ a staple on her abdomen and a firm area by the umbilicus area. Her scans also showed an enlarged liver.
So, this poor girl has a lot going on, but we’re ready to help her feel better again! Puddin will now get the care she needs from our vet, thanks to your support. We’ll keep you posted on her progress.
1/16/24 Update: Bulldog family, when I was picked up as a stray with a medical problem, I just knew my family would come looking for me. After all, I have had some babies in my day, and surely, they still wanted me. But after I sat there for a few days I realized no one missed me at all.
I was so excited when Lynn and Dan pulled up to the shelter and called my number, I was ready to roll. And guess what? When I got to my drop off location, they were setting up to take Valentine photo’s! It took me about 2 minutes to find a tutu and some beads. After all, I don’t think I ever had photos taken for Valentine’s pictures.
Now I am on my way to sit with Dr. Larsen. I can hardly wait to get there; I am still wearing my beads.
3/13/24 Update: Puddin here, doing what all sensible people do: taking a nap. I spent the weekend visiting friends, Tina and Ty. They love me so much, and I love them too. It’s great to have friends and to go visiting, but being beautiful takes a lot of work and I have to nap sometimes. I’m dreaming of my next family. I hope we can meet soon!
