Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkin Spice

We are thrilled to announce Pumpkin Spice has been adopted! Pumpkin and her new furever brother Tyson Drumstick have been two peas in a pod since they heard they’re getting adopted together.

In their new home, they’ll be joining LSBCR alums Tank and Bevo, and Austin Bulldog Rescue alum Rudy.

Pumpkin Spice and Tyson are the 8th and 9th dogs from LSBCR adopted by this amazing family.

Pumpkin has come so far since she first joined rescue. When she arrived, she didnt have a personality because of where she came from; she just existed. To see her personality blossom into the silly girl she is today has been amazing. We’re so happy we were able to help her come out of her shell. Pumpkin is such a wonderful loving dog, and we know she is going to love her new furever family.

Happy trails Pumpkin Spice! Stay spicy!

What a scary few days it’s been, but I know there are better days ahead.

I’ve spent my whole life in a puppy mill, making money for humans, I did not have a name, just a number tattooed in my ear. No one loved me or cared about me. I’m not even sure how old I am. Time passes slow in the mill.

But that all ended the day I joined rescue!

I was so scared they had to carry me, even though I can walk. I’m still crawling right now because I’m nervous, but it will get better, soon.

I got a bath from a really nice lady and now I’m relaxing with my foster parents, who have helped many just like me. They told me they love helping mill mommas and they can’t wait to watch me bloom! I can’t wait either.

I’ve already met their ambassador, Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumna Jenny,  and she welcomed me with open arms.

I will be going to Dr. Larsen’s soon to sit in her lap and tell her all about my hopes for my new life.

My new name is Pumpkin Spice because my foster mom says I’m sweet as a pumpkin.

9/19/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice spent the week relaxing and getting to know her foster family. She’s still a nervous girl, but she’s already feeling more comfortable with both the dogs and humans in the house. She just heard that her son, Big Ben, has joined rescue, so she’s overjoyed that he is safe.

9/26/22 Update:   Pumpkin Spice is really coming out of her shell, playing and having a great time. She went to see Dr. Larsen this week, and we found out she is 4 years old. She has yeast ear infections in both ears and a yeast rope infection. She also needs a hernia repair, spay and entropion surgery. She will soon be as good as new!

10/7/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice 🎃 discovered the couch this week, and she says she’s never moving. Lol! Being a former mill momma, she’s probably never been on a couch before.

10/10/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice pastedGraphic.png went to Puckett’s Pumpkin Patch to pick a pack of pumpkins and pose for pics (for those of you who enjoy alliteration as much as I do).

10/17/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice spent her Sunday relaxing with Foster Pops. She’ll get her sutures removed on Thursday. She’s a sweet, happy, energetic girl who’s looking for her perfect furever family.

10/26/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice had a great time working the crowd at Campisi’s on Sunday as the official greeter. She was exhausted afterward!

11/9/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice is resting up for the Bulldog Bonanza this weekend at The Shacks at Austin Ranch. As you can see, she gets along well with others, so she’s looking forward to meeting everyone there!

11/14/22 Update:  Pumpkin Spice 🎃 took her job of helping Miss Rebecca at the information desk this weekend very seriously. She was exhausted by the end of the event, but loved meeting everyone!

11/30/22 Update:   Pumpkin Spice had a busy day in the office. She greeted everyone upon her arrival and individually wished everyone a happy Thanksgiving prior to leaving. However, instead of filing the paperwork which she promised to do, she was caught sleeping! In her defense, she claims to have just been thinking REALLY hard with her eyes closed!

12/13/22 Update:  Tennis anyone?  pastedGraphic.png  Pumpkin Spice pastedGraphic_1.png loves playing with a tennis ball. She entertains herself!

12/20/22 Update:  What a difference a few months make. From hiding in the corner the day she was brought home from the puppy mill… to her snuggling in the corner of her foster pop’s shoulder.

1/10/23 Update:   I have been staying in the famous Casa De Meza. It’s so cool here with all the diverse pups. I have taken to a Frenchie named Coco. We have become best buds. I have been on my best behavior. I’m still trying to get use to my feeding spot. And I really enjoy snuggle time.

1/17/23 Update:  Pumpkin Spice is enjoying the custom Bulldog doggie door.  She loves sitting outside enjoying the cooler weather. This is a great experience before the summer hits and all she can do is look outside.

1/24/23 Update:  Pumpkin Spice is looking for love and ready for adoption. She even has a sideways heart on her belly! She’s spent the past few weeks at a couple of temporary foster homes while her foster family traveled. During that time, she met new people and new dogs and did really well.
