This special little girl found her forever family and she couldn’t be happier. When she went on the visit to the home that is now HERS, she was so happy to explore every single room. Up and down stairs, jumping over and onto the couch and exploring her new backyard. She knew that was the place for her. The best part of her new family is that she is the only thing with fur and has a dad and skin siblings! Everything she was waiting for and deserves.
All reports say that Punky is settling in nicely and everyone is in love! This smart and beautiful girl will never be forgotten by her foster mom and dad. Happy tails, angel!
Yes, I know. I hear it all the time. I am a big girl. My name is Punky and I am three years old and weigh 87 beautiful, full-figured pounds! You got a problem with it?
My old family planned to move and could not take me with them. So they packed me up and sent me off to rescue. But I brought a backpack of my favorite toys. My most favorite is this gun that makes bubbles. Have you ever chased and eaten a bubble? You don’t know what you are missing!
I have a personality as big as I am. I love every person and dog I have ever met. I love to run and chase balls and play tug-of-war with my rope toy. But I also like to sit next to you and snuggle the hours away.
I am at the clinic to get checked out and then off to my foster family. I can’t wait till I am adopted and have my own forever family. And I hope they have a dog for me to play with. My old owner had a Chihuahua. I like playing with those little dogs. They are so funny.
9/10/19 Update: Punky has been with us a couple weeks now and she is settling in wonderfully. This girl has the best manners of any foster dog that has crossed our threshold. She knows how to sit, shake and high five. She takes a treat from your hand so softly. Punky is also house trained and hasn’t had one accident inside the home. Like most Bulldogs, she is very food- and treat-motivated and aims to please her humans. Punky even likes to sit in foster mom‘s office chair, while working away on the computer. Believe me, her 87 lbs take up most of the chair! The perfect family for Miss Punky would be a single-family home with no other animals and a backyard. She is longer-legged and loves to explore the yard, looking for the most interesting smells. No kid testing has happened here, but I can’t imagine she wouldn’t get along with kids, maybe bigger ones because she is a taller girl. Does she have some other kind of dog in her? Of course she does… but this girl will be your best friend for life, and we feel she is worth it!
9/21/19 Update: This amazing girl continues to thrive in her foster home as the perfect house guest. Seriously, she has given the resident Bulldogs in the home a run for their money on Bulldog manners. LOL
Punky wants nothing more than to be with her human… nothing makes her happier. She is a simple girl, with simple needs. Punky is bright, curious and just plain lovely. Stairs are no problem for this long-legged beauty and with a less-smooshed face, she can breathe easily in this heat and humidity. Punky would love to be your, one and only and you will never want for anyone else.
10/28/19 Update: Punky continues to be a delight to foster and a ray of sunshine to foster pops and myself. What Punky can offer her forever family that she KNOWS is out there is undying loyalty and love. She will be your best friend, companion and the best listener around. Her sweet brown eyes seem to look right through you. She has such patience, loving to snuggle with you for as long as you want, along with hugs and kisses. The only thing that she asks in return is to be your one and only creature in the home with four legs. No cats, no dogs. Its so strange how she is so gentle with people, but shejust can’t get over her distaste for other animals. So if you are looking for your next love of your life, come check out Punky. You won’t regret it.
