A couple weeks ago, Rex Franklin got to meet a very nice family and to see how he and Tank (alumnus Petey) would get along.
They did a lot of sniffin’ and walking around. Tank shared his water with Rex and they went in and out the back door a few times, and then poof! Rex put his butt up in the air, and wagged his little tail and it was on. Tank accepted the invitation to play! It didn’t take long to realize that they would do great together.
Saturday was the big day. Rex loaded up his big red ball and got in the car for another well-loved car ride. He then started his new life with his mom, dad and fur brother, Tank. Rex earned his new name. He will now be Diesel. What a perfect pair: Tank and Diesel!
We know he is going to be loved, spoiled and spend his best life with his new family. Thank you, Matt and Sandy, for loving Diesel and Tank!
When my Uber driver, Mr. Frank, pulled up, I was waiting and ready to go! After all, Mr. Frank has jokes and he kept telling me jokes. Well, at just 1 year old, I find everything pretty funny.
You should have seen Mr. Frank when he picked me up and carried me under one arm. I was scared to death that he was going to drop me. He told me to calm down. He said he had never dropped a Bulldog and he never would!
I chose to join rescue on Thanksgiving because I know all about turkey and pumpkin pie. And where I am headed for the next few days will have both!
No sad stories for me. Just a little confusion. My family had French Bulldogs and they had me. I kept telling them, “One of us is not like the rest.”
Those French Bulldogs were way too much for me. They loved to play, run and get in my face. I kept saying, “Calm down, sit down, be still.” I love to play also, but I am a Bulldog. I’m more refined. I love to sit in people’s laps and enjoy life. Don’t get me wrong ~ I can be a high energy puppy too, but I just didn’t feel like I belonged.
So, here I am with my Uber driver Mr. Frank. And guess what? On Friday, after Turkey Day, he is coming to pick me up and we are going to spend the day together. We’ll get a pumpkin spice latte and then we’ll go look at Christmas trees. He’s going to introduce me to his Bulldog lady Lulu. I am brining my camera and taking pictures!
3/5/24 Update: I’ve been in my new foster home for almost a week now. I arrived and immediately found the toy box. I love all the toys! My favorite toy is my big ball. I play with it for hours. I can move it all around the house.
I also can play fetch for hours…. as long as I have someone to throw my ball for me.
I have a very special talent…. I can catch treats before they hit the floor!
I have endless energy, so I’m looking for a great family who has plenty of time to entertain me.
I love to go on walks and I do great on a leash.
I love to go for rides in the car.
I love kids and other dogs (as long as they will play with me).
I use the doggy door, and do not potty in the house, as long as I have the door to go in and out of freely.
