Rollie

Rollie

After a relatively short time in foster care, Rollie now has a family she can call her own. How lucky is that?! Congratulations, Paul, Eva and Rollie!

Today is the day my new forever is starting! My name is Rollie – like Rollie Pollie. I used to have a different name, but I have decided to leave that behind along with my past life. Let’s just say after I had some babies, I was found as a stray on the streets and ended up sick and alone in a shelter.

But that all changed today when I was saved by Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue! I was given pets, kisses, hugs, and I got all my wrinkles and goobers cleaned up – I felt like a new lady and deserved a new name to go with my new life that is just getting started!

I am a pretty little thing, if I do say so myself. I’m 40 pounds of short, sweet and snugly Bulldog. I love to rollover to get belly rubs… actually every time the rescue folks tried to pick me up or take me out, I rolled over to try to get more belly rubs – that’s how I got the nick name Rollie. Cute, right?

I need to go see the doctor tomorrow to get over this nasty cold, fix my cherry eyes and check out a few others things (an itch here, a limp and lump there). I’m sure I will be fixed up in no time and can’t wait to see what my future has in store for me!

2/17/19 Update:  Let me tell ya, I’m one happy girl!  I finally got to go to my new foster home on Tuesday.  My foster parents had my new digs all set up for me when I arrived.  I have a new bed and my very own tennis ball!  That’s right….MY tennis ball. I’ve explored my surroundings and so far, I’m digging it!  I’ve shown my foster parents that I know how to sit like a lady, give them my paw, and when I need some potty time. And I just love my new bed!  Get this……when it’s night night time, I get to relax to the sound  of Frank Sinatra! It’s soooo relaxing.  The only issue I’m having at the moment is the medicine my foster mom has to put in my eyes.  I don’t like it!  But I know it has to be done so they will heal faster.  Oooh!  I got to have snuggle time on the couch with my foster mom this morning….BONUS!  Love, Miss Rollie (aka Rollie Pollie)

3/25/19 Update:  Miss Rollie had a fabulous time at the event on Sunday, and she also had her first meet-and-greet with a very nice family. It was love at first sight for them! Could her dream be coming true? Is she getting her furever family? We shall keep our paws crossed! In the meantime, Rollie is enjoying spending time with her foster pug brothers.
