Rose Nylund Beatrice (now Mabel)

Rose Nylund Beatrice (now Mabel)

11/24/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From Rose Nylund Beatrice’s foster momma: This beautiful girl has finally found her home with Nicole and Todd, and she even gained a new furry sister, Tater Tot! 🤎

While she was with us, we started her on a gentle exercise routine and she proudly dropped 3 pounds. Her new family is committed to helping her reach a healthy weight, and we know her little legs and arms will feel so much lighter as she continues this journey.

This was not her first time returning to rescue, but that was absolutely no fault of her own. She has been nothing but a dream dog: loving, loyal and so deserving of stability.

We know this big, beautiful girl, now called Mabel, will thrive in her new Houston home. She’s safe, loved and exactly where she belongs.

Welcome home, sweet girl. Your new chapter starts now. 🏡

10/26/25 REINTRODUCTION ~  Please welcome Rose Nylund Beatrice back to rescue!

Our girl Rose Nylund Beatrice is no stranger to rescue life. She’s been part of our family before and came back to us today.

About eight months ago, Rose was adopted into a loving home, but some family changes meant she needed to return. A senior relative was moving in, and they worried she might accidentally trip over Rose.

Now, Rose isn’t so sure about that! At her delightfully “thick” size, she figures most folks can definitely see her coming! 😄

Rose is a happy, gentle Bulldog whose smile stretches all the way to her eyes. She’s packed up her favorite things: her raised bed, cozy blankets and, of course, her absolute favorites: her food, snacks and treats.

She’s ready to start her next chapter and find a family who’ll see just how special she is. 💕

🏡 Foster homes needed in the Dallas/Fort Worth area!

Rose Nylund Beatrice is just one of the Bulldogs in our care who could use a soft place to land. Becoming a foster parent is one of the most rewarding ways to help. You give the dog love, food and comfort, and we provide all the support you need along the way.

If you’ve ever thought about opening your heart and home to a Bulldog in need, now’s the perfect time. Together, we can give dogs like Rose the love, care and second (or third) chances they deserve. Message us to learn more.💖

AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! Rose Nylund Beatrice, now known as Mabel, has officially left the building and is settling into her home!

This sweet gem of a girl won her new family’s heart the moment they laid eyes on her through social media. Adoption day this past weekend was filled with nothing but smiles, and they haven’t stopped grinning since!

Mabel is now part of a loving family, gaining a fur brother, a mom and dad, and a human sibling who are all ready to shower her with endless love and spoiling. We couldn’t be happier for her!

REINTROUCTION: Today, I made the hard decision to return to rescue, and I hopped in an Uber heading west, leaving my old life behind. It’s been a sad, sad day.

Since my adoption in November 2022, there have been some changes in my family ~ my dad developed an allergy to me. He tried everything—medications, shots, rubs, any magic pill he could find. But nothing worked, and it made him miserable.

Today was the hardest day for my family, and they can’t stop crying. They thought I would be with them forever.

I packed up my kennel, my bed, my toy bag, my treats, my spa treatment meds, and my dog food. I even brought a list of “do’s and don’ts” to help my new family get to know me better.

Here’s what you should know about me: I’m allergic to chicken (not fun for me!), and my absolute favorite thing in the world is chasing a laser pointer. Oh, and if you’re looking for a cuddle bug, well, that’s me! I’m 4 years old, my fur is soft like silk, and I’m up-to-date on all my shots and treatments.

Perhaps you could be my perfect match? I’m ready to go!

AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! I had the most amazing day! A family came to visit me and after some initial barking, they won me over with belly scratches. Then they said that they wanted to take me home and be my furever family. I was so excited!

They said they were taking me to LA. I was thinking movie stars, night clubs and beaches! I hopped right in the car and we headed east. Wait. What?

As it turns out, we were headling for Louisiana!

This suits me just fine, as the drive was much shorter and I’m a Southern girl at heart.

I now have a mom, a skin brother, two skin sisters, and a fluffball named Winston.

On the first night, I got to sleep in my very own bed next to my mom and now I am following her everywhere. I definitely think that I have won the lottery!

Thank you to everyone in rescue who helped me get to my happily ever after.

INTRODUCTION: Today is a special day for me. It’s a special weekend also.

Today, I joined rescue and this weekend, everyone will be celebrating me with fireworks, hot dogs and ice cream. And I do love me some ice cream!

I just celebrated my birthday on May 12. I turned 1 year old! It was a fantastic day ~ everyone wore hats and sang to me. I had the best day.

Now, if you are asking yourself how I came to be in rescue, let me tell you.

It was a family decision. My mom was having a baby, and it was not the first one. To just be honest, she is overwhelmed. The new baby will be wanting a lot of holding, and so do I. Some might say I am too big for a lap, but I am not. I’m just a baby myself.

When the rescue wagon came for me, it was a sad day indeed. There was crying and hugging, but everyone agreed that I needed a lot more attention and time.

As you can see, I am a “thick chick” and “thick chicks” rule. In the coming days, I will be looking through the approved applications to find a perfect family for me. Maybe one will say, “I love a thick chick and I cannot lie!”

7/4/22 Update:  Rose made herself right at home with us. She’s perfectly potty trained, gets along well with all of the other dogs, and is generally more interested in belly rubs than just about anything else.

However, she is a 1-year-old girl, and she can be a bit of a bulldozer. When it comes to getting pets, she’ll knock just about anything out of her way to get to you. A little training will go a long way with this girl.

While all Bulldog bodies are indeed beautiful, Rose will really benefit from a diet. She could stand to slim down a bit and some of her skin issues may be due to allergies that could be food-related. We will obviously know more once Dr. Larsen takes a look at her.

All in all, Rose is a wonderful girl. It seems like she will fit right in with plenty of families. Especially if they’re looking for an adorable couch potato.

7/25/22 Update:  Rose was spayed by Dr. Larsen last week and is scheduled to get her tail amputation this week. Therefore, she has to spend a little time with reduced activity while she heals.

Though no puppy is ever happy about being on crate rest, Rose has been handling it incredibly well. She sleeps and waits patiently in her crate without a peep. When it’s time to come out, she can’t wait to get a belly rub, snuggle on your lap, or play (carefully) with her foster sister. Rose’s Wrestlemania Extravaganza will have to wait until she’s healed up and given the all-clear. Though she’s ready to tag in right now!

Rose has never met anyone who isn’t a friend. She’s just a happy girl all the time. She has been showing an increasing amount of interest in “the place where food comes from” now that she’s on a diet. She’s developing quite the impressive Bulldog begging face.

Rose looks forward to having these little surgeries behind her. I know she’s ready to find her furever family soon!

8/3/22 Update:  Miss Rose Nylund is very excited to tell you that after she has her pesky corkscrew tail removed, she’ll be ready to check out of rescue!

She is silly, sweet and gets along with all creatures. She is curious and full of puppy energy. She loves to be doted on… especially with belly rubs. She will flop over, belly up, at your feet. That’s her subtle way of letting you know it’s cuddle time.

She loves car rides, walks and life in general. She charms everyone she meets. Her forever home will be a better place with her in it.

8/8/22 Update:  Miss Rose wants you to know that she is happily looking for her forever family.

She has been on crate rest for the last few weeks while recovering from her spay and tail amputation. I am so proud of her patience. She will sit in her kennel and play quietly, only letting out the cutest little whine when she needs to go outside. She goes right back in her kennel when asked.

A few things Rose would like you to know:

*You must be able to give belly rubs at a moment’s notice.

*You must enjoy sharing your personal space. Rose takes companionship very seriously and thinks boundaries are for  Chihuahuas.

*You must have a nice variety of toys. Chasing tennis balls and tossing around stuffies are her jam.

*She loves having other fur friends to play with. She will wrestle and run with the other resident Bulldogs for hours. Many other fur friends spend time here and Rose has made friends with all of them – tall friends like Labs and a Standard Poodle, to a pair of Frenchie siblings and a sassy senior Brussels Griffon who is always in charge when staying here and Rose is just fine with that.

9/12/22 Update:  Even though the weather is too hot for an outdoor workout, Rose finds ways to keep her weight-loss program on track. Here she is sweating it out on the Stairmaster.

If you’re active and enjoy walks, Rose would love to join you. She walks great on a leash and loves being social. She’s looking through the approved applications for her furever family now. So, stop scrolling and apply now if you’re hoping to be matched to an incessantly happy, healthy young ball of Bulldog love to your family.

10/10/22 Update:  Greetings, pawesome Bulldog fans! It’s your favorite 1-year-old ball of happiness, Rose!

This week has been great! The cooler weather means more walks for me and my foster brother, Cecil Blake (he’s single, ladies!).

I got to see our neighbors putting up Halloween decorations and I made sure to bark at them. I’ll protect you, Foster Dad!

Walking with me is a bit of a process. All the neighbors want me to stop so they can pet me. What can I say? I’m adorable. Besides, I’m kind of a big deal, so I have to take time out for my fans, right?

Another new development is my discovery of the giggle ball toy. I’ll tell ya, I think it might be the best invention yet devised by dogkind. You play with it and it laughs? Brilliant!

As much as I love it here, I really can’t wait to find my forever family. Luckily, I get along with just about everyone, but I would ideally like to find a house with an energetic boy dog for a playmate. I loves the boys. And I love to play. In fact, I love just about everything!

That’s about all for now. I’m sure Foster Mom has a juicy steak for me in the kitchen. And if not, these begging teeth can surely convince her to cook one!

10/17/22 Update:   I got a little change of scenery this week. I decided that I didn’t want to share attention with the other ladies in the house. I sure do miss my guy friends, but I am loving having all of the scratches to myself.

Foster Mom says because I’m so young that I have a lot to learn. She also says that I’m a smart girl! I’m working on some commands like “sit” and “down.” I get to go on walks and am learning to walk next to Foster Mom. But sometimes I see people and get so excited. I just know those people will love me and want to play with me!

When I’m at the house, I just love hanging out with my people. I am looking forward to finding my furever people and maybe they will have a boy dog for me to play with.

It’s a great time to get your application in and find your very own Bulldog to scratch and love!

Foster girl Rose Nylund Beatrice looks forward to giving everyone at our Pizza Paw-ty next weekend the opportunity to scratch her belly! And she’s dreaming and scheming about stealing some pizza. Be sure to join us at Campisi’s in Rockwall.

10/26/22 Update:  I am resting up from all of the festivities last weekend. On Saturday, I had my first photo shoot. I wasn’t too sure about it, but once I was in the groove, the photographer said that I’m a natural! I am sharing a few shots and will start working on my portfolio.

Then on Sunday, I went to a Pizza Paw-ty. It was great! However, I was chatting with some of the other dogs and we are forming a union to ensure that we get some pizza at the next event. Here are some things that Foster Mom says she learned about me at the party.

– I am a little anxious around a lot of dogs, but really enjoy meeting everyone and settle in pretty quickly.

– When it comes to meetings, I have no personal space boundaries and like to get up in everyone’s business.

– I didn’t start any skirmishes, but if other dogs bark or start wrestling, I want to be right in the middle of it. Foster Mom says to mind my own business.

– After a little bit, I settled in and enjoyed watching everyone and meeting people. I enjoy all kinds of scratches! I showed off how I will sit on command, even in a busy environment.

This week, I will be working on my pumpkin carving skills! At just over a year old, I’d say I’m pretty accomplished. I will have my phone handy waiting for a modeling agent or furever family to call, so get in those apps. You may be my perfect match!

11/1/22 Update:  “Let me get this straight… You want me to dress up in a costume and give treats to other people?”

From foster momma: After negotiating a hefty treat package, Rose agreed to be a ballerina for Halloween. She hopes you’re not jealous. She knows she makes this tutu look good!

2/7/25 Update:  Rose Nylund Beatrice wasted no time discovering the toy buckets in her new foster home! This girl is all about playtime—her mission is to make sure every toy is within reach, ready for fun. When she’s not busy with her toys, Rose Nylund Beatrice loves nothing more than being your best friend, showering you with affection and eagerly asking for snuggles. And let’s be honest, who could resist loving and snuggling this sweet, beautiful girl? She’s truly perfect in every way!
