8/23/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: We’re thrilled to share that Roxanne On The Side has officially been adopted! Now answering to Roxy, she’s joined the loving home of James and Christina, who previously adopted sweet alumnus Chester—and when they met Roxy, it was love at first sight!

Roxy’s new life will include lakeside living, endless adventures and a built-in best friend to share it all with. What more could a Bulldog ask for?

Her foster family made sure she left with all the comforts of home: her favorite blanket, a stash of treats and a special ornament—handmade by her foster dad—to hang on the Christmas tree this year as a reminder of how far she’s come.

Congratulations, Roxy! Your happily ever after has officially begun. 💕

6/21/25 INTRODUCTION: How can 35 pounds be this cute?! We don’t know either, but here she is—please welcome Roxanne On The Side to rescue! Roxanne is 3 years old and arrived with her… ahem… baby daddy. That’s right—this girl has been a mama three times, and she’s officially retired. Stick a fork in her—she’s DONE with the baby business and ready to start a new chapter.

She’s never lived inside a home and never walked on a leash before, so to say she was confused would be an understatement. Who knew a Bulldog could tuck and roll instead of walk? It’s her signature move. When she arrived, she didn’t exactly smell like a bouquet of roses—she had some urine staining underneath and what seemed like a mystery creature setting up shop in her nose rope—but all things considered, she’s in good shape (for the shape she’s in!).

Roxanne will be spayed soon and given a fresh start. What she needs now is a forever home full of patience, kindness, and love—and maybe someone to keep her from rolling through the neighborhood like a Bulldog bowling ball.

7/19/25 UPDATE: Roxanne On The Side needs a family! From her foster momma: Roxanne On The Side is really coming into her own and letting her amazing personality shine!

She’s incredibly sweet and absolutely adores kids—her favorite new friend is the 10-year-old granddaughter in her foster home, and the bond they’ve formed is heart-melting. 💗

Despite possibly never having lived in a home before, Roxanne is proving to be one smart cookie! She’s picking up potty training like a champ and has discovered the joy of couch naps alongside foster boy Malcolm In The Middle and her foster dad. 💤

She recently had her very first Dairy Queen Pup Cup, and let’s just say it was love at first lick. 🍦🐶 She’s also working on her leash skills—she can be a little stubborn (she is a Bulldog!), but she’s making steady progress.

The only thing keeping Roxanne from being adoption-ready is a little cold she’s currently shaking off. With rest, meds and a few extra snuggles, she’ll be feeling great in no time.

8/10/25 UPDATE: From the foster momma: Roxanne On The Side is making progress every day! She’s mastered the doggie door, but we’re still working on potty training — now she just needs to learn that going outside means staying outside until business is done. Sometimes she likes to double up and potty both in and out… progress, not perfection!

Roxanne is a sweet, active girl with so much love to give. She’s playful, curious, and full of personality. We’re also working on her manners — especially when it comes to her favorite game: sneaking her foster mom’s night slippers from under the bed! Chewing is still a work in progress, but she’s learning every day.

Patience, consistency and love are helping her blossom!
