9/27/27 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: After only having to foster this girl for a month, Miss Sadie Claire Pawsworth (aka Wednesday) has found her last home!

Sadie was such an amazing girl to foster. All she really wanted was to sleep, cuddle and be loved. I was definitely sad to see her go today, but I was even more excited for her new family because they adopted an angel.

We all know Sadie has been through rescue twice, but I can guarantee you this girl won’t be coming back. Her new family was absolutely over the moon to bring her home today, and I have a feeling they are going to love her just as much as we do.

And I bet Sadie is going to LOVE her new Frenchie-less home! My boys tried to play with her constantly, but Sadie was very clear about her feelings on that. She was not interested in their shenanigans!

Sweet Sadie, go enjoy your new life. This time, you’re home for good.

6/14/26 WELCOME BACK~ Double the love, double the fun: Meet Wednesday and Winston! Winston and Wednesday are a bonded pair looking for a soft landing as they enter rescue together.

Winston is a handsome 2-year-old all-white Bulldog who has never met a stranger. Full of energy and personality, he’s the life of the party and keeps everyone entertained.

Wednesday, on the other hand, is a 5-year-old Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue alumna who many of you may remember as Sadie Claire Pawsworth. She is short, wide and perfectly content to spend her day relaxing and minding her own business.

Their story together began when Winston was purchased as an 8-week-old puppy. Not long afterward, his family decided he needed a companion and adopted Sadie Claire Pawsworth from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue.

The two quickly became inseparable, and today they are truly a bonded pair. While we’ll always remember her as Sadie Claire Pawsworth, she now answers to the name Wednesday and knows it well.

Although their personalities are very different, their love for one another is undeniable. Wednesday is calm and easygoing, while Winston is the Bulldog version of the Energizer Bunny. Both are incredibly sweet dogs who enjoy being with their people.

Sadly, life circumstances have brought them back to rescue. Their owner was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and is now experiencing symptoms that make it impossible for him to continue caring for them. This was not an easy decision, but it was made out of love and concern for their future.

Winston is not currently up to date on vaccinations and Wednesday has not seen a veterinarian since her adoption in 2024. Both dogs will be visiting the vet this week for vaccinations, heartworm testing and a full medical evaluation. We are hopeful that both will receive clean bills of health and be ready to begin the next chapter of their journey.

For now, please welcome Wednesday and Winston to rescue and keep them in your thoughts as they settle in and receive the care they need.

Stories like Wednesday and Winston’s are exactly why foster families are so important. Every time a foster home opens its doors, it gives us the ability to say “yes” to another dog in need. 8/25/26 UPDATE ~ Rest peacefully, sweet Winston. It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of our beloved foster boy, Winston. He suffered seizures at the vet’s office, and despite the veterinary team’s desperate efforts to save him, Winston passed away.

Our hearts are with the incredible vet staff who fought so hard for him, and with the volunteers who loved Winston dearly and gave him so much love during his time with us.

8/29/26 UPDATE ~ Some Bulldogs are lucky enough to find exactly what they need, right when they need it.

For sweet Sadie Claire Pawsworth (aka Wednesday), that meant landing in the loving home of foster momma Jessica.

Jessica opened her home and heart to Sadie Claire Pawsworth, giving her a safe place to decompress, be loved and simply be a Bulldog while we search for the wonderful forever family she deserves.

Fosters like Jessica are the reason we can say “yes” when a Bulldog needs us. They make room, they give love and they help these pups get one step closer to home. We’re so grateful Sadie Claire Pawsworth has Jessica in her corner.

9/6/26 UDPATE ~ From the foster momma: We’ve had Sadie Claire Pawsworth (aka Wednesday) for a little over a week now, and she’s finally starting to come out of her shell and show us some of that spunky little personality we’ve been waiting to see!

Although, if we’re being honest, most of the photos we have of her involve one thing: sleeping. This girl takes her beauty rest very seriously. 😂

Wednesday has also made one thing VERY clear: she is not an outdoorsy girl. She will adamantly push her head against the door, as she has absolutely no interest in whatever is happening outside.

Her preferred itinerary is much simpler:
Outside? No, thank you.
Couch? Immediately.

And honestly, we get it.

Wednesday is truly one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever had the pleasure of caring for. She is gentle, loving and has the softest fur that feels like pure velvet. Now that she’s feeling more comfortable, we’re seeing little glimpses of her personality emerge and getting to know those sides of her has been such a joy.

She’s a very special girl, and we can’t wait to see what else Wednesday has in store for us as she continues to settle in, feel safe and show us who she really is.

Stay tuned, because we have a feeling this girl has a lot more to say… preferably from the comfort of the couch.

FROM 2024: Sadie Claire Pawsworth was adopted by the sweetest family! We were so sad to see her go, but elated that she found her home!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined the rescue family!

From my photos, you might think I’m already pretty perfect – and I am! But wait until you see me in person; you’ll be amazed by my unique tortoise shell-patterned fur.

I’m a 3-year-old beauty with a coat that’s as captivating as a tortoise shell.

Here’s a bit about my journey: I was part of a small breeding program. One day, my family had a sit-down meeting and the Bulldogs in the program were the topic of conversation. Everyone kept wondering why they were continuing to breed Bulldogs when there were so many in rescue and so many people were already breeding them. My family realized they wanted their Bulldogs to be loved, cherished and parked on sofas, not part of a “business.”

So, they reached out to rescue, brought me to Dr. Larsen for a little surgery, and now I’m all set for a cozy sofa of my own! I’m super excited for fall and can’t wait to show off my new sweaters!
