9/8/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! On Sunday, sweet Sally Sugarbaker found her happily ever after and is now named Lucy!
It was love at first sight when Juan and Linda met her. And honestly, who could resist that larger-than-life personality? She charmed them instantly.
Juan and Linda are seasoned Bulldog parents; Lucy is actually their fourth Bulldog, and they say they’ll always have one in their home. Now that Lucy is part of their family, she’s already making herself at home… proudly strutting through the neighborhood on walks, always right by their side.
She knows she’s home. And by the looks of it, she couldn’t be happier. 💗

8/9/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Sally Sugarbaker to our rescue family! From volunteer Dianne: At 50 pounds of Bulldog perfection, Sally Sugarbaker truly believes she’s never done a thing wrong in her life—and honestly, we’re inclined to agree.
At just 2 years old, Sally came to us from a breeding program, though she never actually had puppies. Her former family decided to shift their focus to smaller dogs, and while that change may have made sense on paper, it didn’t make saying goodbye any easier.
Sally Sugarbaker wasn’t just another dog—she was the favorite. The kids’ couch buddy, secret keeper and constant companion. Her departure brought real tears, and we know she’ll always hold a special place in their hearts.
Now in rescue, Sally is already stealing our hearts. She’s sweet as sugar, walks beautifully by your side (no leash required), loves other dogs and absolutely adores being brushed. She even had a funny little run-in with the resident cat—she gave chase for a few feet before the cat turned around and hissed… and Sally Sugarbaker promptly ran the other way. 😅
She’ll soon have her cherry eye repaired, be spayed and receive all her age-appropriate vaccinations. Then, she’ll be ready to start her new life—and we’re thrilled to share that an approved adopter is already lined up to make her part of their family. 💕
