10/3/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: Sarge Droolington has been caught stealing hearts!
Sarge Droolington is the kind of Bulldog who puts you in serious danger of foster failing.
Sixty pounds of wrinkle love who thinks he’s a lapdog? Check.
A Velcro boy who follows you around like you’re the most important person on the planet? Check.
A personality that makes your self-esteem soar because someone is THAT excited to see you? Double check.
How were we ever supposed to let this guy go?
Then along came Andrea and Frank. They were looking for a friend for themselves and their sweet Bulldog, Violet. Turns out, they were exactly the family Sarge Droolington had been waiting for!
Sarge Droolington and Violet hit it off in no time, and this handsome boy has stolen the hearts of the entire family, including their 5-year-old grandson. (Sarge Droolington, buddy, we get it. You’re irresistible.)
Remember, this is the boy who got lost, ended up at a shelter and waited for a family who never came for him. Now he has a family of his own, a Bulldog bestie and a whole crew of humans who adore him. THAT is what a new beginning looks like.
Sarge Droolington, you didn’t just find a home. You found YOUR people. 💙
Andrea and Frank, thank you for opening your hearts and home to this big, lovable goofball. We have a feeling your laps will never be your own again!

9/12/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Sarge Droolington to our rescue family.
He writes: Well hello there, Bulldog people!
At 3 years old, I’m a big guy with a big personality. Large and in charge, if you will. And if I do say so myself, I’m one fine-looking man. Just check out my handsome mug and that baby-blue eye.
I thought I knew my way around the neighborhood, but apparently, I took a wrong turn somewhere. I ended up completely lost. Thankfully, some good Samaritans found me and got me somewhere safe and cool at the local shelter.
The weird thing is, my family must have gotten lost, too, because they never found their way to me. No one came to take me home, and I was stuck at the shelter wondering what would happen next.
Then I heard the best news a Bulldog can hear: rescue had been called! 🙌
And I was ready to be rescued. A guy like me doesn’t do well without his people. I need a family. I need a home. I need someone to remind me that I’m a very important Bulldog who deserves to be loved.
So here I am! Safe, rescued and ready to start my next chapter, with my trusty nose rope and all. 😂
Yours truly,
Sarge 💙
P.S. You know what would make this story even better? More foster families! Every time someone opens their home to a Bulldog in need, it gives us another chance to say yes when a shelter calls. If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have room in your home and heart for a Bulldog like me, maybe you could be someone’s next hero. Message my friends here today and let’s get you hooked up.
9/15/26 UPDATE ~ Sarge Droolington officially traded the vet clinic for the comfort of a foster home. And we have our wonderful volunteer Tina to thank for making it happen!
Tina picked up Sarge Droolington from the vet and got him safely settled into foster care, giving this sweet boy exactly what every rescue dog needs: a soft place to land and someone willing to open their home and heart.
Our foster families truly are the backbone of rescue. Without them, we simply couldn’t say “yes” to dogs who need us. But we also understand that fostering isn’t possible for everyone. Maybe you aren’t in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, your schedule doesn’t allow it or you’re just not quite ready to have another dog in your home.
And we get it… but there are still so many ways you can help!
One of the easiest ways is by making a small donation to help us provide the veterinary care our foster dogs need. Right now, we’re working toward a lofty North Texas Giving Day fundraising goal. And while that $30K goal may sound big, it represents just 10% of what we typically spend on veterinary bills for our foster dogs each year.
We need to reach our goal by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, September 17.
Could you help us cross the finish line?
Even a small donation can make a BIG difference for dogs like Sarge Droolington. Every dollar helps us save more dogs’ lives.
Please consider giving today: northtexasgivingday.org/organization/lone-star-bulldog-club-rescue
And Tina, thank you for showing up for Sarge Droolington when he needed you. Volunteers like you make rescue happen.
