Sarge was ADOPTED!!!I am thrilled to announce that after exactly 365 days in rescue, Sarge has found his fur-ever home! Sarge is hands down the sweetest and gentlest boy we have had the pleasure of fostering. Sarge joined rescue on August 1, 2014 super skinny and heart-worm positive. As Sarge departed for his new home near Houston, Texas, he weighed in at 61 pounds and has blossomed into a handsome boy!
Sarge is a 4 yr. old male that weighs approximately 65 lbs. He is great with other dogs and larger humans. He gets excited easily when he plays, so a house with older children.
Sarge is a handsome boy who loves attention and affection. We don’t really know anything about his previous life since he was picked up as a stray, but we do know that his future is going to be spent as a deserving and loving member of a very lucky family!
Sarge is completely house and crate trained and loves to go for walks. Sarge is happiest when he is in the same room with his people. Sarge is an extremely sweet dog who gets along well with other dogs. Sarge can become excited when he plays, so we don’t recommend a family with younger children.
Sarge is the easiest and most laid back dog and truly just wants to be loved and appreciated. Do you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy?
5/10/2015 Update: Sarge is really loving the sunshine and spending time sunbathing. While he only gets to enjoy it for a few minutes at a time, he loves napping in the grass. Sarge is doing great and spends his days taking long naps, chewing his Nyla bone and playing with his foster brothers and sisters. Sarge wants to be with his people and will follow you room to room and immediately find a place to lay or sit close by.
5/31/2015 Update: Sarge is doing great and is so happy the rain is gone!! Sarge loves laying in the sun, so he gets about 2 minutes of lounging time each time he goes outside.
