It was an unforgettable weekend when Cyndi, Pat, and their son came to meet Seraphina! From the moment they arrived, Seraphina was bursting with energy, showing off her impressive running skills and affectionate nature.
But the real highlight of the day was when Seraphina met Ralph, a 125 lb. Bordeaux—and it was an instant connection! The two of them played joyfully, sharing a bond that was a true delight to witness.
The next day, Seraphina went home with her new family, and it was as if she knew they were meant to be together.
Seraphina’s days of neglect are behind her. She now has a loving, devoted family who will spoil her with spa days and keep her cozy with a brand new wardrobe. I can’t wait to see her continue to blossom into the incredible dog she is meant to be!
Seraphina’s story is one of the most heartbreaking cases of abuse and neglect we’ve ever encountered. Thankfully, we’ve been informed that a criminal investigation is ongoing, and we remain hopeful it will bring her the justice she deserves.
When animal services rescued Seraphina, she could barely stand and seemed like a ‘dead lady walking’ with every painful step. When she was rescued back in November, she was utterly defeated. It took some time and intense care until the shelter staff felt she was strong enough to leave.
At the time, she had no fur on her body, but today, small patches of fuzz are starting to grow, a sign of her strength and resilience. Despite everything, Seraphina held her head high and walked out of that shelter into the rescue wagon, ready for a new chapter.
Seraphina wants the world to know that abuse and neglect are very real, and far too often, people turn a blind eye. She was once a beautiful Bulldog puppy, and thanks to the shelter and rescue, she’s on her way to becoming a beautiful, happy Bulldog again—one who will never face this suffering again.
Seraphina is around 1 year old and deserves a life full of love and care, away from any more cruelty.
12/20/24 Update: Seraphina is settling into her foster home and getting used to all the new noises and smells. She has met her foster brothers and sister (who can’t wait to play with her!) through the crate and is looking forward to getting her sutures out so she can get some energy out!
This girl is an absolute love, craves attention, and makes the most endearing little noises when she wants something. She also loves feeding time (which this foster momma is good at!)
1/10/25 Update: Foster Mom brought out the sweater basket to help me get ready for the chilly weather they keep talking about. I’m all set to stay cozy, and I hope you’re all bundling up too! ~ foster girl Seraphina
