Shiloh Suzy

Shiloh Suzy

Shiloh Suzy met an amazing couple at Bull-O-Ween. She went home with them that day, but they had a dog that she wasn’t real crazy about. It was all a little too much excitement for her.

Thank goodness there was another family not far behind for her. They were the nicest people and it was love at first sight.

They had a trip planned, so everyone agreed that she could stay with her foster parents until they got back.

Her new family counted down the days. Foster Mom told Shiloh every day that she was going to get her next family very soon, and that they already loved her so much.

Well, Friday was the day! Her new family drove about four hours to take her home. They brought her the prettiest harness with her name on it. Her mom had already bought her cookies and Benebones! She settled in with her new family nicely.

While Foster Mom was sad to see Shiloh go, she knows that this was a perfect match and can’t be any more excited for all of them!

You’re not going to believe my story. You see, Dr. Larsen has always been my vet. I’ve known her for 2 years. That’s how old I am.

Every time I went to the clinic and saw all the Bulldogs there, I wished I could stay there and sit with Dr. Larsen. I wanted to join rescue!

And then one day, it happened. My family decided I needed a home where I could have a lot of attention.

I’m still young and love it when everyone plays with me. I can play ball, chase you, play keep-a-way and just about any game someone shows me how to play.

And I have the BEST teeth! If you need a place to set down your coffee cup, just give it to me. These teeth will secure it and keep it safe.

My fur feels like silk. I love bath time and I love it when someone brushes my fur.

I am definitely a vet clinic favorite. Everyone fights over who gets to take me outside. I have to go on a leash because everyone says it’s too hot for me to be running around, but I sure do love to run.

So Bulldog people, send in your application. I may be the perfect match for you!

8/22/23 Update:  I found my way to my foster home this past Friday. Foster Dad came and picked me up. I just got that baby-making stuff taken out on Thursday, so I’m on activity restriction right now.

I’m a little skittish, but quickly learning that there is nothing but love in this home. I’m starting to venture away  from Foster Mom and Foster Dad and look at some other areas of the house.  My favorite place right now is in their lap or beside them on the couch.

I’ve done great both nights going into my kennel and sleeping silently all night long.

I’ve already learned about this magical door that leads me outside! Even though Foster Mom has told me I don’t need to be using that just yet, I’ve snuck away and tried it out a few times. I’m going to love that as soon as I get my stitches removed.

I’m a sweetheart with the most adorable puppy dog eyes and a big smile. You better get in your applications quick because I think people are going to be standing in line to take me home.

8/31/23 Update:  “Foster momma, I’m not sure I understand why I can’t stand on this table. I don’t have sutures in my tummy any more. Plus, it gives me a perfect, high-up view, of everything around me. I feel like I’m on top of the world! I’m looking for my next family from up here!”

9/27/23 Update:  I’m doing great in my foster home and I use the doggy door regularly.

I took my bowl out one day, and was waiting on Foster Mom to feed me outside. She told me I was silly and laughed all the way back in the house, with my bowl.

I get along with all the other dogs. I love them all. I also found out this week that I love little children. I’m a little excited at first, but as soon as I calm down, I just want to love and snuggle.

I go in my kennel with no problems. If it’s  nighttime, I lay down and don’t make a peep all night. I’m not one of those loud snorers, either.

It’s another story if you ask me to go into my kennel in the middle of the day. I know how to escape! It’s been fun watching Foster Mom and Foster Dad try to figure out how I was getting out.

Today, I got to have my pictures taken in the pumpkins. Foster Mom told me I was so good and everyone is going to love my pictures.

I am looking through the approved applications to find my next family. They will need to have lots of love and energy because I love to go,  go, go.

Hopefully, I’ll have some good news coming up soon!
