2/16/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From volunteer Lari: It was a great day for a great little gal!

John was up bright and early to make the drive to DFW to pick up the newest member of his family. He and his wife are no strangers to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue, which means they’re certainly no strangers to loving (and being loved by) Bulldogs.

After recently losing their beloved fur baby, their hearts were still aching. But they knew the best way to begin healing was to open their home, and their hearts, once again.

Short Stack Sage was just the ticket.

Small in stature but overflowing with love, kisses and cuddles, this sweet girl got right to work. The healing had already begun before John even started the drive home, and it didn’t take long for the rest of the family to fall completely smitten once she arrived.

Short Stack Sage is officially “Queen of the Castle” once again and we couldn’t be happier for this wonderful family.

1/18/26 INTRODUCTION ~ Please welcome Short Stack Sage to our rescue family! From foster momma Lari: The sweetest girl entered rescue on Tuesday afternoon. She saw the vet on Thursday and had a family by Friday… another former adopter who can’t wait to pick her up later this week.

Short Stack Sage was clearly loved and well cared for, but when life changed, her family made the incredibly difficult and selfless decision to place her in rescue so she could find a home better suited to her needs. In just a few short days, she has won hearts everywhere she’s gone.

She’s even been playing with the resident bossy girl in her foster home… no small feat! Everyone at Ables Animal Hospital felt her gentle, healing presence on what had been a tough day for the staff. She brought smiles exactly where they were needed most.
