Sibella

Sibella

12/17/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster, now forever pops: Sibella’s journey came full circle in the most heart-melting way.

She was first picked up by her foster dad on December 30, 2023, and from the very beginning, something special bloomed. She found a home and was adopted in 2024, but as luck (and destiny) would have it, Sibella came back to foster pops’ home in June 2025.

And let us tell you: this girl is obsessed with her foster dad.

She’s finally earned bed privileges and now sleeps right next to him every night… exactly where she believes she belongs.

She may not have been his puppy from the very start, but it’s crystal clear now: no one could ever separate these two going forward. Some bonds are just meant to be, no matter how long the road is to get there.

Sibella’s story is proof that love always finds its way home.

INTRODUCTION: I joined rescue last night and brought my mother, Muffin as well.

With our dad in the hospital, he knew we weren’t getting the care we needed. He made the painful decision to put us first and ensure we would have better futures.

When we heard Casa De Meza was coming to get us, we got excited! We received the royal treatment and rode in the “Bully Bus.” We each had our own spot and headed to our new foster house.

Upon arrival, we both enjoyed spa treatments. Oh man, did it feel good! Foster Mom jumped in the big shower with me and gave me a scrubbing.

I then explored the house and now I have my own room ~ this is so awesome!

I hope my fur grows back fast. It’s really thin, so we are changing my diet. Thank you, Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue, for coming to our rescue.

1/15/24 Update:  Sibella will soon see Dr. Larsen to get her once over and her spay. Until then, she’ll continue enjoying the newly found love of her life. Cooper and her play nonstop and they both have energy to burn. It’s amazing just to sit back and watch. She has a sweet, playful spirit.

3/5/24 Update:  Sibella got spayed last week, so she’s taking it easy and getting in some naps ~ the doctor’s orders. She’s been enjoying the outdoors and socializing with the pack. She hopes everyone else took a nap today too!

ADOPTION ALERT: I’m excited to announce that I found my family! That’s right ~ it’s been a long journey over the last month. I had a meet and greet, and it went amazing. Then had to get my tail removed, so I wouldn’t itch or hurt anymore.

Finally, I packed my things and went to Fort Worth to meet my new mom! I lounged at the park for a while until she got there. Then, I got to surprise my new skin brothers and sister! They love me so much and I will be the perfect protector for them. Thank you to everyone involved for making my new family possible.

6/9/25 UPDATE:  From her foster pops: Sibella’s story didn’t begin as a fairy tale. A Bulldog with a round, wrinkled face and eyes full of confusion, she had once known a home—but that home could no longer care for her. Just before New Year’s Eve in 2023, she arrived at her foster home, Casa De Meza, and was soon adopted by a wonderful family.

She was with them for a little over a year, but the dynamics with the other dogs in the home shifted, and things no longer worked. So, Sibella came back to rescue. Casa De Meza opened its doors once again—determined to help her find the home she truly deserves.

She returned to a foster home already bustling with eight other pups—all different shapes, sizes, and personalities. It felt like a potential recipe for disaster, especially given her past. But something unexpected happened.

Sibella stepped through the door, took a deep breath… and settled.

No snarls. No tension. No drama. Just cautious sniffing, a few gentle tail wags, and the quiet understanding that only dogs who’ve been through enough can truly share. Sibella found her rhythm. She respected the other dogs’ space—and they respected hers.

She found her dog bed first. That was important. It became her safe place, her sanctuary. But more than that, she found peace.

This past Saturday, she had a full spa day: a warm bath, nails trimmed, folds cleaned, ears wiped. The moment the water touched her back, she closed her eyes and let out the softest grunt of contentment. She leaned into the touch, stood still for the scrub, and melted under the towel dry like butter on a warm plate.

She adored the attention—the gentle hands, the kind voices. Her foster mom laughed: “She’s a queen, absolutely,” as Sibella rolled onto her back for belly rubs, still smelling faintly of lavender shampoo.

She’s going outside when asked and clearly wants to do the right thing. We haven’t seen any signs of doggy hostility—perhaps because she’s in a calm, quiet home. Sibella has found comfort in the stillness. She cuddles without hesitation now, tucking her head into a welcoming lap, her breathing deep and relaxed. And for now, that’s enough.

Sibella may have been returned, but she’s not broken. She’s simply relearning the simple joy of being loved without having to fight for it.

Her story isn’t over. In fact, it might just be beginning.

9/9/25 UPDATE:  From Sibella’s foster pops: Sibella has a heart as big as her wiggle! She’s a bit on the thicker side (in the best way!) and carries her weight like a queen. This happy girl is looking for a calm, loving home where she can shine as the sweet and sassy companion she was born to be.

Sibella does great with submissive pups and prefers a more mellow vibe overall. She may give a little attitude at first to show who’s boss, but it’s all part of her Bulldog charm. She’s fully potty trained and follows a twice-a-day feeding schedule to keep her fabulous figure in check.

When she’s not strutting her stuff (with a signature Bulldog butt wiggle, of course), Sibella loves lounging in her dog bed, gnawing on her favorite chew toys or sniffing around a securely fenced yard. Her mood is always bright, and she adores affection… belly rubs and cuddles are her love language!

Sibella is ready to leave foster life behind and join a family. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion with a touch of Bulldog sass, she may be your match.

11/16/25 UDPATE: We’re working to match Sibella to the right family for her! From her foster pops: Sibella continues to be her sweet, hopeful little self! She’s recently taken a special interest in Heavy D, our resident lone wolf. While Heavy D prefers flying solo and has made it very clear he’s not looking for a relationship, Sibella is convinced he’s absolutely paw-fect for her.

She’s been working hard to win him over—slow blinks, polite sniffs and casually “just happening” to nap near him. Heavy D mostly pretends not to notice (classic him), but Sibella isn’t discouraged. She knows he just needs a little time to figure out what she already believes: they’d make the cutest duo ever.

For now, she’s giving him space while still rooting for their slow-burn friendship. Stay tuned… Sibella’s determined, and we can’t blame her—she has great taste. 💕🐶

11/23/25 UPDATE ~ From the foster pops: Sibella is hoping to find her next home just in time for Christmas. This girl is a world-class cuddler. She’ll snuggle right into your side and soak up every bit of attention you offer.

Her beautiful coat even blends perfectly with the modern interiors of most homes, making her both a companion and a little piece of décor magic.

Sibella has a surprising pep in her step and puts on the cutest little performance at every mealtime. It’s her way of saying she’s happy, healthy and ready to charm her way into your heart.

She’s been dropping hints that she’d look just right under our Christmas tree this year… but she’s saving that special spot for her future family.

If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion who’s as festive as she is adorable, Sibella just might be your perfectly matched holiday miracle. 🎄❤️
