Spot

Spot

They say every dog has his day, and for Spot, that day felt like it might never come. He had waited over six long months, wondering if his next family would ever find him.

But just like that, two weeks ago, everything changed—Spot met his family! Jordyn, Kial, and Bulldog sister Torvi came to meet him, and right away, they knew they would be honored to bring him into their home.

Because of a pre-planned trip, Spot had to wait a little longer, but today was the day—adoption day! Bulldog dad Kial had to work, and Torvi was still at her vacation home, so it was just Spot and Jordyn for picture day. That was perfectly fine with Spot; he loved being the center of attention and didn’t hesitate to walk out the door, never looking back.

Spot had waited long enough for his  family, and today, as he left with Jordyn, he was filled with excitement and joy. It was his big day, but as he walked away, he also took a piece of my heart with him.

You should have seen the party yesterday when I joined rescue. There were fireworks. I mean, real fireworks that lit up the sky!

The day started like any other day, except there was a parade first. And who doesn’t love a parade? I thought that was odd, but when I saw my family starting to pack my bags, it felt odder. I had the feeling I was going somewhere.

And I was right. I was leaving home and joining rescue. My dad was moving and where he was going, they said I could not go. I was sad about that, but sometimes we do what we have to do .

When I arrived at the welcome station, you should have seen all the Bulldogs there! They were so excited to meet me. Finally, I had some friends who would play with me.

We played and played and played, and we ran through the house until Grumpy Kat fell over from exhaustion. I’m a small Bulldog, but she is actually smaller than me. We have become fast friends and that’s what I have wanted for a long time~ someone to play with me. Grumpy Kat slept with me last night and it felt great having a new friend.

I’m am 6 years old , and after I have a little surgery, I will be looking for a family that has time for me.
