1/18/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT times two! From volunteer Dianne: It had been eight long months since T’Lah and Stephen said goodbye to their beloved Bulldog. Eight months without the familiar pitter-patter of Bulldog feet, without fur to sweep up and without that unmistakable Bulldog love filling their home. It was a quiet, heavy kind of loss.
When they finally took a leap of faith and submitted an adoption application to us, fate stepped in.
It was love at first sight when they met Star Bright and Suzy Snowflake. The drive from Odessa was a long one (and the drive home even longer!), but it was worth every mile.
Today, these two precious Bulldog ladies will never again have to worry about being left behind, surrounded by moving boxes and uncertainty. They are home. Forever.
Star Bright is a devoted “licker” who takes her job of keeping Suzy Snowflake clean very seriously. Suzy Snowflake, on the other hand, tolerates the face-washing… until she doesn’t. When she’s had enough, she makes a strategic retreat, attempting to hide from the relentless affection. Sisters through and through. 💕
Wishing endless happiness to two incredible Bulldogs and two truly wonderful adopters. This is what rescue dreams are made of.

12/25/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Star Bright to our rescue family.
From volunteer Dianne: A professional moving van pulled up to a home, ready to load boxes and furniture. When the mover walked inside, he was greeted not by empty rooms, but by three Bulldogs staring back at him.
He immediately called the woman who owned the home. She told him she was boarding a plane, that the Bulldogs belonged to her son who had moved away and left them behind, and that she did not want them. She made it clear she didn’t care what happened to them.
Thankfully, this man had a heart.
Instead of walking away, he Googled “rescue” and found Furry Friendzy Animal Rescue & Wildlife Rehab. The founder, Pylar, answered the phone. She was at an event taking pictures with Santa Paws, but she told him if he could get the dogs there, she would help.
Later that day, he arrived with all three Bulldogs in tow.
Pylar then reached out to Sherry at the Plano Animal Shelter to see who could assist, and Sherry called me. On Dec. 23, Mary Christmas, Star Bright and Suzy Snowflake officially joined rescue.
This is what people mean when they say it takes a village.
On Christmas, I should be feeling thankful, and I am…. thankful for the people who stepped up when it mattered. But my heart is heavy knowing how easily these three could have been forgotten.
Thankfully, they weren’t. 💔

URGENT NEED – DFW FOSTERS NEEDED 🐾
If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we urgently need more volunteers willing to open their homes to foster Bulldogs while they wait to be adopted. Fostering is temporary, but the impact is life-saving.
When more people say YES to fostering, more Bulldogs get a second chance.
If you can help, please message us today.
Can’t open your home right now, but still want to help? Opening your heart makes a difference too. Even a small $5 donation can help us provide essential veterinary care for our foster dogs and allow us to continue saying “yes” when they need us most.

Thank you for being part of our village. We truly couldn’t do this without you. ❤️
