Strawberry Shortcakes found her furever family and is now living in Lubbock. We wish you the best, sweet girl!
I was found roaming the streets and animal control picked me up and took me to the shelter.
Because I didn’t have a microchip, no one knew who I am. I waited patiently at the shelter, but no one came to claim me.
I asked the nice folks at the shelter if I could join rescue because I know they’ll be able to find the perfect family for me.
Not long after that, a nice man with big hair pulled up in a purple Jeep Wrangler…. I knew this had to be the rescue wagon! I hopped right in and never looked back.
I’m a very tiny girl, maybe 25-30 lbs, and I love, love, love people! I’m not so sure about other animals yet.
I will be heading to Dr. Larsen’s soon to sit in her lap and tell her all about myself. Stay tuned for future updates from your girl, Strawberry Shortcakes.
4/28/22 Update: She is a pocket pixy! If you love bulldogs, but your back can’t take the weight of carrying one around all day (whose can?), she’s your girl! She’s got the look, just not the size. Even though she’s three, she’s got the energy of a puppy and will keep you in stitches with her jumping around. But this girl will quickly calm down when there are belly rubs involved!
5/2/22 Update: Sweet Strawberry Shortcakes was able to visit the nursery yesterday. She had a blast picking out pots and plants, and the staff enjoyed seeing her smiling face.
Strawberry needs a home without other pets and those are hard to find! Maybe your family could be her match?
We are based in Texas and out-of-state adoptions are very rare for us; however, we will consider breed-experienced, qualified applicants willing to adopt one of our dogs who needs to be an “only child” (no other pets in the home) – like Strawberry.
5/5/22 Update: Strawberry Shortcakes put on a show for her fans today at the nursery.
