Sweet Peabody

Sweet Peabody

1/16/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From Sweet Peabody: When we hit the road, I knew something was up. All my belongings were packed, and my foster mom kept telling me about my next home and my new dad. I was a little nervous… but very ready for my next chapter.

My new dad is AMAZING, and I’m the one-and-only princess 👑 He had all my toys laid out when I arrived, and I even have my own balcony… fit for royalty! I can watch everything going on and see all my new doggie friends.

I’m staying in North Texas, and I even get to go to work with my dad every day! I’ll miss my foster family so much, but this is what I’ve been patiently waiting for… My forever. ❤️

7/15/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Sweet Peabody to our rescue family!

When the breeding operation shut down, all the Bulldogs were put up for sale. Sweet Peabody didn’t mind too much—motherhood never really seemed like her calling anyway. She was small, charming and had a way of making people smile just by being her adorable self.

She was sold to another breeder who thought she might be a good fit for their program. For the first time in her life, she was taken to the vet for basic care. That’s when everything changed. The vet delivered news that would alter Sweet Peabody’s path forever: she was heartworm positive and should never be bred.

At just 2 years old, Sweet Peabody didn’t understand what heartworms were, but she did know one thing—her short-lived career as a “baby mama” was officially over.

That’s when she heard the words that brought her hope: “Send her to rescue with her friend, Georgie Michael. She shouldn’t ever be bred.”

When the rescue wagon pulled up with Ty behind the wheel, Sweet Peabody and Georgie Michael didn’t hesitate. They hopped in, leaving behind the only life they’d known. For the first time, they were headed toward something better: a future filled with comfort, care and the promise of being cherished family members.

1/11/26 UPDATE ~ From Sweet Peabody’s foster momma: I’ve had Sweet Peabody for about 10 weeks now, and I can confidently say this girl is more than deserving of a home. Her previous chapter is firmly behind her and Sweet Peabody is fully embracing the good life now.

She is an incredibly sweet girl who can be a bit of a Velcro dog until she feels safe. Once she does, her love knows no bounds. Sweet Peabody adores kids, loves playing with her foster brother and is always up for a walk or a car ride.

When she first arrived, I truly don’t think she had ever touched grass. Those early weeks were spent learning the basics, including potty training, and she’s now officially a big girl! She may still have an occasional accident when left alone, but she’s making great progress and is eager to please.

Sweet Peabody isn’t a fan of the crate. She prefers freedom and snuggling close to her person. She’s an excellent cuddle bug, and once she settles in for the night, she’s an absolute princess. She loves her foster brother (who happily lets her rule the roost), though she can be dog selective and is most comfortable around male dogs.

Overall, Sweet Peabody is a fairly low-maintenance girl. She doesn’t have extensive wrinkles to clean and has no ongoing skin or breathing issues. She is currently on prescription food for allergies. Sweet Peabody is an amazing companion who will make you feel loved every single day.
