Tank Kringle (now Cannoli)

Tank Kringle (now Cannoli)

9/12/26 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! From the foster momma: After months in foster care, our sweet Tank Kringle finally found his family… and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better one.

We took Tank Kringle to meet Ashley and Andrew at their home last week, but because car rides cause him so much anxiety, they really didn’t get to see the Tank Kringle we know and love. So a few days later, they came to our house to meet him again where he felt safe and comfortable.

What a difference! Tank Kringle was SO excited when they walked through the door. It honestly seemed like he remembered them and knew they were there just for him. He soaked up all the attention and started leaning into Andrew for pets.

At one point, he came over and laid his head against my chest, then went to Mike and did the same thing before going right back to his new family.

Maybe I’m just a sentimental foster mom, but it sure felt like our boy was saying goodbye. ❤️

We have loved this big, goofy potato so much, and saying goodbye wasn’t easy. But getting to watch him begin bonding with his new family right in front of us made my heart smile and reminded us exactly why we foster.

Tank Kringle now has two fur sisters, and he’s already settling right in… helping Dad at the grill, lounging on the couch and finding his place in the family like he was always meant to be there.

And Tank Kringle has a new name…

Meet CANNOLI! 😂

Could there possibly be a more perfect name for this short, round little dude?!

Happy forever, Cannoli. You took a big piece of our hearts with you, but seeing you exactly where you belong makes every bit of it worth it.

12/7/25 INTRODUCTION: Please welcome Tank Kringle to our rescue family! He writes: Hello Bulldog lovers…. it’s me, Tank Kringle, and I officially joined rescue today! 🎅

Yep, you read that right. This morning I packed up all my belongings (a giant box of my favorite things and a jumbo-sized wire crate) and marched right out the door like a big boy.

Speaking of big boys, my birthday is February 10, 2023, so I’m really just a baby with a whole lot of Bulldog personality. I’m current on vaccinations, neutered and even microchipped. My new rescue friends say my eyelashes might be turning inward a bit, so that’ll need to be checked out.

Now you might be wondering, “Tank, why did you join rescue?”

Well… here’s the scoop:

I’m a Bulldog with Bulldog-specific medical needs: seasonal allergies, eye issues and a strong desire to chew… everything. Sometimes the things I chew are mine. Sometimes they’re… not. 😬

As for potty training? Some days I’ve got it. Some days I don’t. I like to keep things interesting.

My ideal family will be home a lot and ready to teach me how to be a well-mannered Bulldog citizen. I want to be part of the family ~ not left in a crate all day.

Guess what? I’m not even unpacking, because with this face and my holiday charm, I doubt I’ll be in rescue for long. ❤️🎄🐶

Love,
Tank Kringle

P.S. Our rescue is in great need of foster families in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to help Bulldogs just like me. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is a perfect time. We can’t say “yes” to pups in need without you! Message us to learn more.

2/8/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Tank Kringle has settled into foster life beautifully and is an absolute joy to have around. He’s a total people dog who loves being close to his humans, whether that means lounging on the couch or soaking up all the affection he can get.

One of the very best things about Tank Kringle is how he lights up when he sees his people. He gets so happy and excited that he does the cutest little dance, and it’s impossible not to smile when it happens. 💃🐶

It took a few days for Tank Kringle and the resident “cranky girl” to figure each other out, but they’ve found their groove and now peacefully coexist, sharing couch time and even foster mom’s lap. Tank Kringle is playful, sweet and full of personality.

He prefers a personal touch over independence. Tank Kringle isn’t a fan of the dog door, but he’ll politely stand by the door and wait for a human escort outside. At bedtime, he heads right into his kennel and sleeps quietly through the night with no fuss at all.

A note on progress:
Tank Kringle is still working through some potty/marking accidents in his kennel and on blankets. This is something we’re actively addressing, and he’s already making progress. With consistency, patience, and a solid routine, we expect continued improvement in his next home.

Tank Kringle is affectionate, loyal and ready to form a deep bond with his people. He’s going to be a wonderful companion for a family willing to continue his routine and guidance, and he’ll reward them with endless love.

3/27/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: Tank Kringle is settling in beautifully and showing us just how sweet and loving he truly is! He absolutely adores his people and wants to be right by your side whenever he can. One of his cutest quirks? The little happy dance he does to greet you. It’s guaranteed to make you smile every time.

He’s a playful boy who would love a home with a four-legged sibling, especially one who enjoys a good wrestle session. Tank Kringle also does great with kids and really thrives on being part of the family.

Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, he’s still working through a few things in his foster home. The TV can make him a bit unsure at times, but he’s already gaining confidence and improving every day. He’s also continuing to learn good kennel and blanket habits, with lots of support and guidance from his foster family.

Overall, Tank Kringle is a joyful, affectionate pup who simply wants to be loved—and he has so much love to give in return.

5/10/26 UPDATE ~ From Tank Kringle’s foster momma: This boy is SO much fun and his personality just keeps shining brighter every day. Tank Kringle is playful, goofy and absolutely loves to wrestle. If you sit down in the floor, you better be ready to play because he is all in!

One of our favorite things about him is how excited he gets when we come home. He does this adorable little “dance” and talks to us in his own special way. It’s not barking… it’s just Tank Kringle having a full conversation and telling us all about his day.

He loves going on walks and being part of whatever you’re doing. Car rides aren’t really his favorite thing, but if that door opens, he’s ready to go… so he requests that leash be ready!

Tank Kringle also LOVES kids and gets so excited to be around them. He really just wants to be part of the fun and included in everything going on around him.

Tank Kringle has such a loving, entertaining personality and keeps us laughing constantly. We adore this sweet boy.

6/14/26 UPDATE ~ From Tank Kringle’s foster momma: This handsome boy has been with us for several months now, and we just can’t believe he hasn’t been matched to his next family yet!

Tank Kringle is the perfect mix of playful and laid back. He loves a good wrestling session, but once he’s burned off a little energy, he’s more than happy to stretch out and relax right beside you.

He absolutely adores kids and would love a little buddy to play with. More than anything, Tank Kringle just wants to be with his people. He’s a shadow who follows you from room to room and has so much love to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a fun personality and a big heart, Tank Kringle might just be your perfect match.

8/30/26 UPDATE ~ From the foster momma: How has this handsome potato been in rescue for more than eight months?

Tank Kringle is still waiting for his next family, and we think it’s time to make sure this boy gets the attention he deserves!

Tank Kringle has settled into foster life like he owns the place. He’s a laid-back guy who loves his Nylabone, loves his meals, enjoys short bursts of play with his foster siblings and then is perfectly happy to return to his full-time job as a professional couch potato.

He loves people, loves kids and does great with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s also done wonderfully with dogs at our public events!

And apparently, we’re now working on his fitness goals. As you can see, Tank has some feelings about that. 😂

Tank Kringle is a sweet, easygoing companion who is equally happy going for a little adventure or settling in for a serious couch session.
