Lee is no stranger to rescue and it was such a pleasure to see him again after all these years.
He adopted Brixie In 2008 and he adopted my foster dog, Buster, back in 2012.
In 2020, Buster crossed the Rainbow Bridge and took most of Lee’s heart with him.
You see, Lee went through some major health issues, but Buster was his biggest cheerleader.
Lee spent two years in bed after developing a pressure wound on his shoulder. He also spent four months in the hospital due to infections and surgeries. Lee will be the first to tell you that Buster saved his life.
Buster never left Lee’s side, except to eat, drink and run outside to the bathroom. In Lee’s darkest days, Buster was right there giving him a reason to live.
Lee says Buster’s love and companionship was the reason he is here today.
The first thing Lee showed me when we met up was a tattoo of Buster’s actual paw print on the inside of his arm.
And now, Tank Theo joins Lee and it’s another match made in heaven. Tank Theo needed Lee and Lee needed Tank Theo to fill that empty space in his heart.
There is no doubt in my mind that, in the coming days, Tank Theo will be loved just as much as Buster. But everyone has that special someone who stays tucked away in their heart and will make you shed tears just by saying their name. Tank Theo has some big shoes to fill, but he is certainly on his way to filling them.
Much love and happiness, Lee and Tank Theo!
Friends my name is Tank and on Monday I joined rescue! My family went separate ways and my mom started working 2 jobs and I found myself home alone a lot.
It was not what I had in mind. I am a social butterfly and I missed having someone to play with me and talk to me. I am 4 years old.
I met Dr. Larsen yesterday and she loved me. She thought I was a little “thick” and it might be affecting how I breathe. Dr Larsen is going to call Dr. Lay and have him take a look at me to see if I have a fat problem or a palate problem. Whatever needs done I am going to do it so I can run like the wind. Not happy about being on a diet though, but I will watch my calories if I need to. Dr. Larsen called me handsome, started working on my nose and she said in no time my dry nose will be perfect again.
So, friends watch my journey thru rescue and before you know it you will be seeing me with my forever family and I will be running like the wind playing with my soccer ball!
