Thor Ty

Thor Ty

Earlier this week, Stephen and Tushar drove up from Houston to meet Thor Ty and they instantly fell in love with him! Stephen has adopted from Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue several times before and was ready to have a Bulldog at home again. Thor Ty is loving his new life!

If Thor could talk, he would tell you about the abuse he suffered. We’re told he was given to someone and that person starved him, then dumped him in a park. He became an animal cruelty case.

The shelter staff shared some of his “before” pics with us, but said they “don’t show how bad he actually was.” And these pics surely can’t show the mental/emotional abuse he also experienced.

Thor Ty has spent a long time healing and yesterday, he left the shelter that had been his home for a while. And Thor Ty was ready to go!

He’s just a big puppy. He’s never met a stranger ~ he loves everyone and everything he sees. His fur has a yellow tint still from sitting in urine, but his legs and feet look amazing compared to his intake photos.

When you meet him, all he wants to do is sit in your lap and cover you with kisses. He has non-stop puppy energy.

The shelter that helped with Thor Ty’s transformation did an incredible job. He’s now healthy, happy and alive with energy! Long gone are the days of abuse. Thor Ty is one of the lucky ones ~ he was saved. Welcome to rescue, Thor Ty. The best days of your life are ahead of you.

5/9/24 Update:  Thor Ty is a mighty marvel! He is a compact ball of love and energy. His favorite things to do are to play and be held. Thor Ty has been quickly learning basic commands, like sit, down and spin. He is silly and sweet, and he claimed the stairs as his throne.

5/30/24 Update:  I haven’t checked in for a while, I have just been playing so much at my foster house.

First, it was with Pork Chophouse, then Dutton came to visit me, then Sunny Rose. But they have all been adopted and it’s just me and the resident dogs now. They are older than me and don’t always enjoy my puppy-like shenanigans. I can’t help it. I’m a young guy (about 1.5 years old) and I like to play.

Foster Mom calls me a little marvel. She’s amazed at how much love and energy can be in such a stout little guy. I’m a big guy at 38 lbs.!

Foster Mom says I have to have a little surgery on my eye next week before I can be adopted.

6/7/24 Update:  Thor Ty went to go see Doctor Larsen today for his cherry eye surgery. He is not happy to have to wear the big ol’ cone, but we are so thankful for everyone at Bright Star Veterinary Clinic for taking such good care of him!
