Tiny Tiga

Tiny Tiga

What a spectacular day it was for Tiny Tiga! His new dad flew in all the way from Colorado just to bring this incredible Bulldog home.

After hearing nothing but heartfelt “we love you and we’ll miss you” messages from his foster family over the past few days, Tiny Tiga couldn’t wait to start his new adventure.

With boundless excitement, he hopped into the car, ready to embark on the journey home and build a new bond with his dad. Here’s to a road trip full of new experiences and happy memories.

Safe travels, Tiny Tiga, and happy trails on this exciting new chapter of your life!

When I was at the shelter, I heard my family pull up in their car and I thought they were coming to take me home! But just as fast as they walked into the shelter, they walked out, without me.

I was told it was because the shelter staff was going to neuter me before I left, and that made them not want me any longer. I thought that was a strange thing because I was still a part of the family. It upset me that I had no value to them any longer.

I’m about a year old and I am a little fella. I also had some cuts on my neck that are healing now. I have a cherry eye too, but  that will be addressed soon.

My new friend, Bobbi, who picked me up said that I was as sweet as could be, and she kissed me all over my face . She told me that there would be a lot of people who would love to adopt me. She told me not to worry. I’m trusting Bobbi because Bobbi said she already loves me.

3/19/24 Update:  I love it here in my foster home. I get along with the resident Bulldogs and French Bulldogs. My foster mom says I must be a special boy if I can play nice with the spicy girl Frenchie!

Foster Mom says I’m a very smart boy. I’ve only had one accident in the house since I’ve been here. Foster Mom has been teaching me some basic manners. She told me that having good manners would help me get a new family. So, I’ve been working extra hard to learn. Plus I’m not gonna lie ~ I love the treats and especially the one-on-one time with Foster Mom. She sure makes me feel loved and special.

I get so excited to play. I love chewing on the rope and entertaining myself too. Couch cuddle time is always a good time of the day, as well. I know what “potty outside” means. I know how to sit and wait for a treat. I really like to jump up on Foster Mom, so that one is a little hard to remember. Foster Mom says I’m catching on very fast. I know where my kennel is, and when Foster Mom says it’s time to get in my kennel, I go right in.

I love my blankies and I cry like a human baby when they aren’t in there. I like them all fresh and clean. I eat my food really fast and I choked a little bit this morning. Foster Mom was super chill and cleared my throat. She told me from now on I’ll be using a slow feeder bowl. I don’t know what that is yet, but I don’t like the sound of “slow.” I mean, I love my groceries… what can I say? Foster Mom says we aren’t taking any more chances on me choking again.

If you know anyone looking for an adorable young small Bulldog, pass my info on to them please! Once I get my family, I’ll be living my absolute BEST LIFE! Oh… and tell them I have the cutest tiger stripes! I’m sweet like a teddy bear, super smart and a quick learner. I’m a nice guy too… I love everyone!

4/24/24 Update:  Tiny Tiga joined the Gleesings to couch surf during our hunt for his perfect forever family. He and alumna Whiskey have become fast friends and love to wrestle and romp around the yard together.

What we’ve learned about Tiga in the first two days he’s been here are that he doesn’t respect boundaries and if you give him an inch, he’ll take a mile. He’s also a jumper and likes jump up on you when he gets excited or wants attention. We’re working on these things.  Being a smart boy, he’s picking up on our corrections and expectations well and I think he’ll get it in no time.

We’ve also learned that he’s a love bug and enjoys to cuddle up and watch TV, though he will push himself right into your face if you let him (you know, boundaries).

He’s a good boy in his crate all night long and doesn’t potty in the house, not even with all the rain we had.

His demeanor toward other dogs has been pleasant with the exception of the first half hour or so of being introduced to everyone. It’s overwhelming to meet so many new dogs in such a short span of time and completely understandable to be a bit standoffish. He quickly moved past that though and is living in harmony with the household.

His tiger stripes and pumpkin head make him quite striking and very handsome. I look forward to getting to know him more during his time here

5/30/24 Update:  Tiny Tiga is a sweetheart who gets along great with all people and dogs. He’s a good eater, is housebroken and sleeps great in a crate while you’re not home and at night. He’s a young, strong boy. He can be a handful when he gets excited, but is overall, a very, very good boy. He is recovering from cherry eye surgery, so he has a come and needs ointment and lube.  He also has some skin allergies and takes meds twice a day currently.

6/7/24 Update:  Tiny Tyga is spending some time with a temporary foster family while his foster parents are on vacation. He is the sweetest boy. He gets along great with the resident dogs (big and small), he does a good job of pottying outside, and he is crate trained. He loves cuddling and he has a good amount of energy.  Anyone would be lucky to have him.

6/14/24 Update:  Tiny Tiga is just a little ball of fun and energy. He gets along very well with all dogs in our house! He is also crate trained and mostly house trained.

This weekend he enjoyed some very closely supervised play time in the pool with his foster sisters. He’s not much of a swimmer, but he had a great time splashing around on the tanning ledge.

TT will be returning to his regular foster home within the next week as they’ll be returning from vacation. We love this guy! He’s been such a wonderful house guest.

7/11/24 Update:  Tiny Tiga is patiently waiting for his forever family.  Is it yours??? In the meantime, he’s soaking up snuggles and having fun chasing armadillos with his foster brothers.

8/2/24 Update:   Tiny Tiga has a beef with the vacuum cleaner and isn’t shy with his smack talk! If you’re looking for a silly, sweet, cuddly good boy to adopt, this is your guy! He’s the best and I’m baffled as to why no one has scooped him up yet.

8/29/24 Update:  Tiny Tyga (or TT, as he likes to be called) is still doing great in his temporary foster home.

He’s well behaved, gets along great with others, and is crate trained. He does a great job of pottying outside, he loves the sprinkler and he has a good amount of energy. He will make some family very happy!

9/3/24 Update:  Tiny Tyga continues to do great. He is sweet, well-behaved, potties outside, and gets along great with the resident ladies. Did I mention he’s handsome, too?
