Trixie Annette (now Lucy)

Trixie Annette (now Lucy)

9/13/25 AWESOME ADOPTION ALERT! When transporter David arrived at the shelter, Trixie Annette was already waiting behind the counter. Word had spread… she was leaving, and she might even get to ride shotgun down the highway, leaving her past behind.

At just around 3 years old, Trixie Annette had already endured far too much. She had been dumped on the side of the road shortly after giving birth to yet another litter of puppies. Her body showed the toll of multiple litters, repeated urinary tract infections, and she tested positive for heartworms.

Despite everything, Trixie Annette’s sweet, playful spirit still shone through. At the shelter, she thrived in playgroups, winning over every dog she met. And when her stray hold was up, she was more than ready to say goodbye and take that first step toward a new life.

Over the next six months in foster care with Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue, Trixie Annette received the medical treatment, rest and love she so badly needed. Slowly but surely, she began to blossom, from a fragile and neglected pup into a happy, healthy and hopeful companion.

And now, her journey is complete: Trixie Annette has been adopted!

She’s joins a wonderful family who has previously adopted from our rescue and came back to open their hearts and home once again. They’ve renamed her Lucy, and she now enjoys the life she always deserved ~ one filled with love, security and endless affection.

Yes, Lucy is one lucky dog… but honestly, we think her new family is even luckier. 🐾❤️

INTRODUCATION: Trixie Annette was waiting behind the counter when transporter David arrived at the shelter. She had heard a rumor that she was leaving and could ride shotgun down the highway leaving her past behind.

At the shelter she played in play groups with all the dogs there. She loved them and they loved her. But when her stray hold was up, she was more than happy to tell everyone good bye and head out the door.

Trixie is heartworm positive and she is not happy about that, but she will be treated and then she will be looking for a fabulous family that will her forever.
