I’m happy to announce that I’ve found my forever home! My new family is definitely for me ~ I have two beautiful Bulldog sisters and a handsome (but not as much as me) Bulldog brother. Life is going to be great in my new home!
My mother was a trucker, so that’s how I got my name. She was Mother Trucker! See, not only am I handsome, I also got jokes!
My mom was sad to see me go, but she knew it was time. I am ready to find my forever couch. I’m 3 years old, my color is chocolate and I’m as sweet as a chocolate bar. All the ladies loved me, and everyone thought I would stay in my home forever. But being a ladies’ man is not all it’s cracked up to be. Sometimes you just want to be friends and not be their boyfriend. That’s the problem I always had.
So today, I jumped in the rescue wagon and into the lap of Dr. Larsen who said, “Trucker, one day soon you will lose that loving feeling and you are going to have the best life ever just being a Bulldog on a couch, watching TV.”
6/3/21 Update: Foster kid Trucker came to stay with us yesterday. S’mores is being a good brother and teaching him the ropes, like how to do walkies, how to play, etc.
6/7/21 Update: Trucker, checking in to say this week has been a wild ride! I started out the week at the clinic. And they’re all super nice and take good care of me. But I was really thinking it was time to try something new, so when foster pops showed up with Sir S’mores, I decided to pack my bags and ride along. Let me tell you, having a frosted baby brother is an adventure. But that’s ok. I’m having a ton of fun. We’ve done walkies almost every day. Foster pops says I’m really good ok a leash. I’m really enjoying meeting all the neighbors. I’m leaning all kinds of new things like where to potty and I learned a new favorite word, Cookie! Foster mom keeps asking me to sit, but I don’t know that one yet. I’m sure I’ll figure it out soon. My grooming routine has really started to pay off. My hair is coming in nicely. If you’re looking for a rambunctious, but very sweet permanent roommate, I’m currently accepting applications. And her playful side is coming out more & more. Imagine waking up to this smiling face every morning!
6/10/21 Update: Trucker’s life has been real simple this week. You spend half your time playing like a madman with foster brother, S’mores, and spend the other half napping with him. Trucker is excellent at both! Sometimes he even uses S’mores as his pillow.
6/15/21 Update: Proper introductions were made this morning. Looks like foster boy Trucker has a new best friend. Foster boy Rocky Austin is doing great.
6/21/21 Update: Trucker had a few set backs with potty training this week. But overall, he’s doing great. His hair is growing in really nicely. He gets along great with everyone in the house. Proper introductions are important, but once he’s past that, everyone is his friend.
6/28/21 Update: From the foster momma of Sir S’mores A’Lot, Trucker and Rocky Austin: Everyone is getting along fairly well. Trucker is really loving having all the play time. Almost as much as he loves all the nap time!
