Van Morrison

Van Morrison

We’re thrilled to share that our foster Bulldog, Van Morrison, found his home!

Stewart took one look at Van Morrison and instantly knew he was the perfect Bulldog. When they finally met, it was true love!

Stewart was on the hunt for a little buddy to join him at work, chill on the couch, and go on outings. And it turns out, Van Morrison was searching for that exact life too! Thanks to Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue, everything fell into place.

Since coming home, Van Morrison’s life has been full of new adventures – he’s got new toys, been to restaurants, “worked” alongside Stewart, and enjoyed plenty of relaxation. He’s definitely living his best life, and we couldn’t be happier for them both!

Thank you for all the support along this journey!

At the shelter, Van Morrison was ready to go! He had been sitting in the hall, in the overcrowded shelter, waiting and watching the front door, hoping his family would come for him.

All Van Morrison knew was that his nose was running and he had started coughing. He wasn’t sure if it was the daily rain or kennel cough making him feel bad.

Finally, the stray hold was over, and Van Morrison was released to go to rescue. Walking out, in the misty rain, was not what Van Morrison had in mind and the longer he walked, the faster he went.

Van Morrison kept looking around, as if  someone around him should have brought their umbrella.

Van Morrison is wearing a collar, his fur is soft, and his skin looks good . He can’t help but believe his family is looking for him.

But if they don’t see him on social media, he knows rescue will find him a fabulous family who will make sure he never gets lost again.

And as the other Van Morrison sang “Brand New Day,” the lyrics ring true to this Van Morrison………

And it seems like and it feels like

And it seems like and it feels like

A brand new day

A brand new day

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

9/12/24 Update: I’ve been hanging out this summer with my foster family.  Foster Mom tells me that I have the sweetest face ever, and that I am such a sweetheart.

My favorite thing to do is play with my balls. I love to play fetch.

I can get a little upset when my foster fur sister tries to take it from me. We are doing much better together, but we have our moments.  The two resident dogs do not care about balls or toys and we get along great! That being said,  I don’t have to be an only in my perfect home…. I just need to be the only one obsessed with balls.

I know how to sit, shake with both paws, potty outside and tell you when I need more attention. Foster Mom tells me that I’m pretty much perfect.

I’m looking through the approved applicants now. Maybe you will  be the lucky one to make me a part of your family!
