Walter Texas Ranger

Walter Texas Ranger

We had a very sweet time yesterday with Mike and Pam from Colorado. They drove down to adopt Walter Texas Ranger and Rex Franklin.

When they originally started looking for a new dog after the passing of their sweet Bulldog Cricket, they were looking at only taking one. They were primarily looking at Walter Texas Ranger. When they got pictures of both boys, they started thinking, “Would two be better than one?”

They spent about four hours with the boys yesterday at our home. They watched them play and interact together in multiple scenarios. That’s when they decided they had fallen in love with both pups.

Both boys left together very happy with their new mom and dad today. We know they will love Colorado!

Hi folks, I am Walter. I was found wandering in Arlington with my tough-boy collar. The nice people that found me drove me around several neighborhoods and asked several homes and nobody recognized me.

Well, boy was I glad they found me. They gave me lots of water, pets, and some food.  They called the Lone Star Bulldog Rescue

I am now in a foster home with a foster sister and spend time with Hoomans again who really love me.

I love chewing on antlers, sticks and playing tug. I also have been playing fetch with my foster parents.  It’s fun to sit in their laps and cuddle too.  I enjoy jogging around the house and going on walks.

I’m starting to feel better. The vet fixed my eyes and I can see better now and I’m getting treatment for Heartworms.

I can’t wait to find my forever home! I love all people and get along with other dogs and kids.

11/13/Update:   Walter is doing quite well. He’s still within his 30-day rest period recuperating from his heartworm treatment.

Walter is a very energetic and an easily excitable pup. It’s a challenge for him to stay calm and restrained!

He gets along very well with Sandy Beach and his other two foster sisters who are 14-year-old Malti-Poos.

He loves getting a bath and chewing on antlers. He plays fetch very well and is enjoying lots of lap time with his foster mom and foster dad, and often lays on his back for belly rubs.

We are still working on him not pulling when we take him for a walk, as well as his marking things around the house.

He is such a super sweet, loving fella. Plus, she’s smart as a whip!
